A mellow mixed disc with jazz and r&b vocals that I made for our shop 10+ years ago.

A few cuts in but so far Angela Bofill, Tierra, Grover Washington, Jr. with Bill Withers, and Al Jarreau...good kickback and cruise music.

You still gazing upon The Hub from your elitist rooftop paradise?

hey, at least you are AT the beach. Beats working in the oven we call Boston.
Yep, I get up to the roofdeck whenever it cools down enough to enjoy a cigar.
C'mon up and join me, if you ever get your butt up off of the beach!

One of my ALL TIME favorite videos. (great saxophone)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8GtVwBQWtc

Don't Nobody Move(this Is A Heist)

Well, I wuz in this Police station
Bein' booked for Garlic breath
In the corner was a cripple
They wuz kickin' him to death
From a cell somewhere I heard This woman scream "You're hurtin' me""
On the wall there wuz This poster
"Holy name society"...

Oh --

I wuz in this courtroom
'Cause I had a fight With my own wife
Law 'n order wuz so thick
You could cut it with a knife
While this landlord Made a pay-off
so they'd De-control his slum
Hizzoner told Some Puerto Rican
"In my court you don't Chew gum"

Oh --

Don't nobody move
This is a heist
Don't nobody move
This is a heist

Well, she wuz standin' on the Corner
When this dude asked her The price
She said “me?" he said "Take it --
Buy yourself somethin' nice"
Soon as he got off 'N while she still wuz
Squattin' on her heels
He produced A pair of handcuffs
An' a very shiny shield.

Oh --

They wuz towin' me away
Cuz I don't have Diplomat plates
While this diplomat I know
Is smugglin' "H" Into the states
I said "lemmee have The ticket
'n the car – Save me a trip"
So they hauled me in
For giving them Some
unauthorized lip

Oh –
Don't nobody move
This is a heist
Don't nobody move
This is a heist

I wuz underneath my dresser
Just in case of sneak attack
When this television Quiz show called
To ask where I wuz at
I said "I'm underneath My dresser --
An' they're Poundin' on my door"
The audience went wild 'N the emcee said
"Would you like To try for more?"
Yes . . .Yes I would!

Well, I wuz drivin' downThe highway
An' I did not have the toll
So they gave me The electric chair
(Cured my cold)
Well, I woke up feelin' Hungry
an' I asked for Somethin' hot
So they gave me The electric chair again 'N
then they had me shot...
Oh --
Don't nobody move
This is a heist
Don't nobody move
This is a heist

Derek & the Dominos - Live at the Fillmore

Clapton’s solo on “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad” is considered by some as one of his Top 20 solos of all-time.

72F / 100% RH / 4 mph - borderline stifling out in the garage

DC GO GO mixes

Live in this area for too many years before really listening and finally getting it. I don't remember anywhere else in the continental US that had such a localized/regionalized music identity that never really escaped beyond the immediate region. Love it. Just try to sit still and listen

KPJK Free Internet Radio. It used to be "Devils Night Radio" before legal disputes with the music industry. I think it's overseas now. What ever.

They play the entire spectrum of music, some very esoteric selections. Great stuff. I always have it on in the background if I'm not running my music off my phone.

You've probably already seen it but if not, you gotta watch "The Last Waltz" by the Band. Concert film of the last performance of the Band. Van Morrison absolutely steals the show with "Caravan". He's just rippin it.

Southern Nights.

They always play this one on the old school country radio station I listen to on my way to the river...

It's basically a stream that far into the mountains, so I wade it. So not much cigar smoking going on, but I've been catching some nice smallmouth.

Have a good weekend everybody!

Watching an episode of “Live From Daryl’s House” with the O’Jays as guests:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BzWRT-PAGQk

Iffin’ you’re a fan of Hall & Oates but never watched Daryl’s show, you should. Heck, even if you’re not a fan, you should check it out.

72F / 100% RH / 10 mph - with this humidity, hope my cigar stays lit!
