Also watched a few vids of Fleetwood Mac on some French tv show. Very cool.

But it got me to wondering.....how come the only time good music came out of France was when guys like Peter Green or Hendrix boarded a plane out of Paris?

Aside from Jean Luc Ponty and Jean Rampal, who are both a very long ways from rock or even pop, I can't name a single French music artist from last couple centuries

Can't recall that I had. Thanks.
That's interesting....in a number of ways....not exactly up my alley, but close enough to make me want to check out more of their stuff.

I saw them as an opening band...I can't remember whom right now...Metallica or Megadeth...Lamb of God on the same bill...oh well...I was there. Really good band that deserves more notoriety!

Van Morrison - Inarticulate Speech of the Heart

One of those ‘80s Van albums that most overlook. More instrumentals than any of his previous albums and although I haven’t put this on in a long time, it’s an enjoyable listen.

An excellent live album and a wonderful example of where Van was at in the ‘80s.

Was hoping to see them too. They played last week just outside of Racine WI, but on a Tuesday night. I’ll road trip all day to see a good band, but not on a fucquin Tuesday.........

have the vinyl somewhere here.
Always liked the previous release, A Step Further, better though. That was my 1969 intro to the band.
I think Chris Youlden left after Raw Sienna, either that or was claimed by drugs, not sure I remember accurately.

“Savoy Brown Boogie” was one heck of a “cruising” song. I bought the CD a few years ago from Tower Records for like $10. It remains the only SB album that I have in digital format other than “The Savoy Brown Collection”.

Van Morrison - A Sense of Wonder

I don’t recall listening too much to this in the ‘80s but years later, an older, mellower me finds this as a fine, sit-back-and-chill album. Definitely worthy of revisiting again.

Van Morrison - No Guru, No Method, No Teacher

My favorite mid ‘80s album from Van. “In the Garden” is an outstanding song.
