By the way. My box has a sticker on the bottom which reads 20/09, whatever that means. It suggests something about the box date, no? Interesting. Hmmm?

Two of my boxes read 19/09, one reads 20/09. A box I bought from a competitor 2 years ago reads 19/09. No idea what it means.

@dpnewell - Let me know how you would compare them to the Robi so I know if I should grab a box of them as well

Thanks for the infor Herfing

Smoked a Beli tonight. Excellant. That's the one I'd go for since the Toros are gone. Robs are still good, but the Toros and Belis are just a little better.

Only smoked one so far, but even OTT seems the same as the ones I had picked up from two other competitors a couple years back. All way better then the new ones sold here.

I got the Toro's. I smoked one last night ott. It was pretty good, albeit a bit wet. Dry boxing would have helped this one.

Cunning linguistics on your wife?? Try cunnilinguis, that may help if the cunning linguistics doesn't!

At least I haven't gotten any "these sticks suck and so do you dp" yet, lol. ram27bat

Sheesh, C-bid, look at all the boxes I sold for you. How about you send me another box of Torps on the house, or maybe a Palio Camo cutter, lol? (yeh, right, like that would ever happen).

I'm about 10 minutes into a torp right now and I'm liking the flavor. Can't beat it for the price.

Thanks for the tip, dp.

I watched a Brian Glenn cigar obsession review of this blend and he didn't have very many positive things to say about it. He was complaining about the burn for one. This torp has burned perfectly ROTT. I may have to snatch another box.

I grabbed two boxes each , this being my virgin purchase through CI (only 2 winning cbid orders, a real newb)...........free Xikar Ash can? Free shipping, too cool!...... all of a sudden whack a mole ! ...lookout .......they got me like a d@mN casino, all that bell clanging, countdown chit, good lord, I hope $3 diesel shorties are a good deal? Either tricked again or I passed up on some pretty good deals probably. Seems like one or two of them were 10ers of stuff I have seen go real high on here. I just haven't smoked enough different sticks to know yet, plus was trying lots of self control, bet I skip that option from now on!

Looking at completed auctions ,not the very best price, but close, and I'm a cheapskate, but w/free shipping, too I'm certainly not complaining. If I don't like 'em, some of you will, hehe

I nubbed one of the robs while watching my Phillies tonight. Kept thinking that it reminded me of another favorite of mine, and then it hit me, Torano’s Virtuoso. Followed the rob up with a Virtuoso and was surprised at how similar they where, both with those underlying raisiny dried fruit notes. Though similar, the Morado had richer flavors, and was just a tad more enjoyable. Couldn't help myself, and just grabbed another box of robs.

Don't worry about it. Those shorties are good smokes and the price wasn't all that bad. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

Yea, I figured I've done ok, considering my tendencies, I did go ahead and buy that 100 qt coleman site to store marine cooler. Maybe it'll show up b4 those boxes, hehe
Waited too long, no more is there an $80, 150 qt marine cooler from wal-mart, inflation already.

Just got mine in today, fantastic packaging, and very yellow cello. Wish they had had Churchill's in this too just for the cedar trays, glad I ordered two boxes of Beli's as well as this single box of Toro's.

Thanks for the heads up Dave!

Hopefully, before the next year or so, the finances will be much better. I'll Build/convert a cabinet or two.........mmmmmmm.....er maybe a walk-in. My wife wants her dream house behind her current shack. Well, that will require another surgery, rehab, the govt. to move faster, etc. Maybe we'll say over the next few years, hehe. If I get too many , the troops, or some of you guys will get 'em.

Mine are here too! Just lit one. Cedar even looks aged in the trays. Nice.

One question about dry boxing them. If thy are in those cedar trays in a cedar cigar bx, isn't just laving them in there for a few days the same or should you only dry box single cigars before you smoke them? Sorry for the noob-ish question.

I don't know about all this "dry-boxing" going on.

Will report after I let them rest for a bit.

I'm glad you folks are enjoying these, but the real credit needs to go to Dave (Surfish1961). Back in early '10, about a year into this hobby, I saw these interesting looking sticks on another auction site. I called Dave, whom I consider my mentor, and asked him about them. He told me to jump on them. Snagged 10 robs for cheap, and instantly fell in love. Won some more a couple weeks later, but got a call that the order couldn't be filled as they where gone for good. Figured I discovered these too late. A couple months later, I saw these on closeout somewhere else, and picked up their last two boxes ($70 each) on my way to Ramfest '10. Handed out several, and received nothing but good comments.

I was so excited to see them show up here about a year ago, but questioned how a limited production stick could suddenly appear so cheap and in such massive quantities. I was super excited when I was assured that these new ones where the same as the ones I feel in love with, but all hopes where quickly dashed about a ½" into my first. Not even close.

I was rationing the few remaining ones, until I got CI's Email last weekend about '07 Morados. Could this possibly be true? Clicked on the link, and as soon as I saw the pictures, placed my order. I just had to share with the rest of you, as I hated folks thinking that this gem of a smoke was the dog rocket being marketed under the same name. Credit also needs to go to CI for uncovering this last remaining cache, and bringing them to us at a great price. Enjoy, and I really hope I didn't steer any of you wrong.

I know you'se guys answers, azzhats, but now I got a problem, hehe. Mine will automatically drybox. Ordered cigars and cooler overnight, late.
Shipping updates, the sticks already in Knoxville, scanned in , arriving Monday, I get great shipping because of being so near to Memphis, everything heads this way fast......
Ohhhh, but not the cooler, taking wal-mart 'til Wednesday, sheesh.

great, now they're saying next Thursday until the following Wednesday. My local has their shelves empty off and on, about half the time, a pretty poorly run one, I can go 10 miles over to another one and get much better service, wasn't thinking.
