If the new Noella reserva is even half as good as the 09 & 06 then it will be well worth the money- both of the previous releases are classic! they tend to get better & better with age.

I think I've seen the Tat SW Maduro at a couple locals in recent times...in other words, readily available. There may be some others, but I can't keep up with all the different bands so I may be staring at some rare Tats and not even know it. Confused

My salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc is resting in the base of a 07 Reserva A Uno box.

I very much doubt what you were seeing is the SW Reserva maddies. Most likely they were SW Reserva natties which are a great smoke but not HTF. If they are the maddies buy 'em all. Someone here will be happy to have them. Drool

The 200 boxes is correct but the one shop thing is not unless the shpo close to me was the only one. I purchased 9-10 boxes myself mostly for others here who couldn't find them.

Was it Sabor Havana?

Here's some info-

According to Pete Johnson, owner of Tatuaje, his good friend and sales person in the state of Florida by the name of Paul asked him to roll a few of his extremely popular SW (which stands for “Sir Winston”, a homage to the Cuban cigar of the same name) cigar with a Maduro wrapper for him to taste and smoke. Sadly, he died soon after. In his memory, Pete had the 200 boxes made with a Maduro wrapper, sold them through one store, (Sabor Havana Cigars) and donated all of the proceeds from the sale to Paul’s family.

No not that store as I am in Az. This place was one of the 1st shpos to carry Pete's line and he got an allotment of the SW maddies. I think I about cleaned him out.

DED the shpo in Arizona that Pete did the favor for was the single run of 200 Regios Reservas. I’m 98.2% positive I’m correct

I'm 98.2% sure that it was SW Maddies since I bought so many boxes of them. I shipped about 5 boxes to folks here, smoked many and I still have maybe 2-3 singles on these. Definitely not Regios.

People flipping the latest rerelease of the T110 for nearly a 100% markup the day they received them. I thought I'd get a chance to buy a few singles, but no dice. The Tat hype lives on.

In almost every case I can think of the new release of one of these Tat cigars is not as good as the originals. I guess that could be due to the age they have now or their scarcity but it seems most are just not of the same quality of components.

IMO: The old Verocu were much better than the newer releases available now.

Supposedly they are releasing another 600 boxes in May. Get on a list and you might get lucky....that's what I'm hoping for.

The first run was local to me, so I was hoping to just walk in a grab a couple to see how they compared to the originals. I didn't want to pony up for a box sight unseen, but you'll never catch a hype train like that.

I'd have to agree and even go as far as saying the new release broadleaf reservas are not a very good cigar at all. However, I am a noob and the 2013 noella reserva release still hits home for me, and I have a few left that need to get torched soon. Other than that the new LE sumatra releases were a miss as well. I did go for a few of the T110s and am hoping for magic but my brain is telling me to step back to reality before lighting one.

Sadly, the best money buy for tats is aging brown labels, PCR, or 2012 Conoju which has more RG than I care for.

Box split maybe? I'm only looking for a 5er or so. I hear you though, I just ponied up hard for a couple of TAA 2014 boxes and it is ridiculous what old school Tats go for now. ram27bat
