brief threadjack... Yo Lefty -- did you get to any of the shpo's in Omaha when you were this way? How 'bout the Havana Garage? Too bad you weren't coming now. You could deliver the box and you, Jnichols and I could herf a bit. (I saw you were at Jims. That's great!)

Yep would love to be there, we kept real busy painting and such the kids new house. The son and I were able to slip away one night and went to Jakes, we smoked a FFP together. Only get to see them a couple times a year so it was real treat for the ol man.

Mornin bro's, Couple things, there was no bag in there for the wombat so I'm starting one for him. Am gonna put a smoke in each guys baggie who is left in the pass, no worries just a couple dog rockets I've been wanting to get rid of. Only gonna pull one CC cause I did not have anything diff. from what was already in there. The only reason I'm pulling that one is when I was looking at em this sucker rolled off the desk and hit the deck and cracked the wrapper a little, I hate it when that happens, so I'm not going to send that along.

Puts and takes

Mule Kick take Papas Fritas
Tat El Triunfador lancero OR take C-4 what the heck is a C-4? never seen this so thought I would try it.
Tat Black Label Lancero LE
CC
PSD4 take El Ray Del Mundo

If this is ok will fly Wed.

Lefty,
C4 is a Viaje; I picked up a couple with some TNTs last summer. Very mellow (to my palate), not a powerhouse but deep & rich. Let us know what you think.

Leave me alone...

Hey, lefty is never after me in these passes. Perhaps it's time just to put a care package and send it to the middle of nowhere where the old rickity curmudgeon lives?... Yes, I think that's what I should do.

Post here so we can laugh at how bad someone guesses or be amazed at how discriminatory your palate is.

Blind taste:

Unlabeled robusto has a nice triple cap, milk chocolate colored wrapper with minor veins. No soft spots and fairly heavy in the hand.

Prelight:
Strong wheat and pepper. Strong retrohale prelight, I hope Wombat didn't deak me with a powerhouse.

Burn:
Burn is straight and always self correcting. Did purge half way through as there was a slight tunneling (due to cold temps I'm sure)

Flavor:
Slightly strong initially begore morphing into a almost Viaje like flavor (almost grah cracker but something I cannot ever describe). From there it remained thr same throughout.....Oak, Pepper and a touch of cream. Also had a charcoal aftertaste which I don't care for.

Overall:
Great construction. Not my favorite flavor profile but an enjoyable cigar none the less. I kept thinking it was like a half Dominican half Nicaraguan cigar. Probably a 7-10$ retail stick.

Pairing:
Wild Turkey

Total:
(87)

Name of the cigar:
????

My guess would be DPG Black.

Guys this wasn't a strong stick.

Barely full. The pepper was strong initially and that was it.

No sheet.

Well damn that Churchill I paid $12.50 may sit awhile!

Very generous gift Wombat. Guessing that indescribable taste was the Pelo de Oro wrapper.

Jamie did a great review, besides the charcoal aftertaste he was in the description of the actual cigar.

First Third the opens up nicely with flavors of cedar, leather, and an overall toasty profile. There is a touch of spice and pepper on the tongue and on the finish but not a lot at all and honestly I wasn’t expecting a lot either. Towards the end of the first third the cigar turns very creamy and buttery…Second third the cigar transitions nicely into a creamy mellow profile with lashings of nuts, coffee and cocoa. Final Third the cigar pretty much holds and even course from the last third, a nice creamy profile with rich nutty flavors, cedar, leather and some coffee and cocoa coming in and out

Thanks Lefty! Looking forward to it. To all: Kombat and I discussed earlier that I do not have CC's (or if I do, I have no idea that I do...) So I will not pull any CC's from the box. I believe that means I will be able to take 2 non-CC and put 2 for this. Sorry I cannot contribute to the CC portion of the pass.

STOP!!! I've only mooched once here and it took me a while to figure out that I did! Still feel bad about that, too...
I look at it this way; I don't know if I'm missin' out or not and there's so many others to smoke, why would I bother?

Kombat this isn't acceptable.

Jon should take two CCs and I'll send two to Cam to add to it.
