a412724- I had the same issue a couple weeks ago. I'm set up on Thursday shipments and they normally arrive to me on Friday. That shipment didn't come until Tuesday and I'm not quite sure why. Every shipment since has been the normal. I should have one coming tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

It's the holidays. It always screws up the shipping. Still waiting for a weekly box from last Thursday. Usually receive them on Fridays.
How are those pancake and scrapple smokes anyway?

ah, WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich,

Thank you for your response and patience. After reviewing your order I see the package was lost upon pick up from our warehouse. I will be sending out a replacement and filing a claim for the lost package as well as refunding the shipping cost back to you. However; I see that the Old Man sampler is on backorder and the c1-3um cigars, which you had 3 of, are no longer available. I can either refund these costs back to you or replace them with a different cigar. Please let me know how you would like to proceed and I will be more than happy to assist you further.

Thank You
Kirsten

HA HA HA HA HA, they don't want to give me my Old Man Winter Sampler, Cohiba Puro Dominicano, Camacho Corojo, Ave Maria, or RyJ Habano Reserve. Their are 5 Old Man Winter Samplers up for bid right now and 2 starting at noon. If they are out of them, then why????? And if they have 7, why shouldn't I get at least one since my winning bid was secured 3 weeks ago???

SO VERY VERY LAME!

Would actually love to hear from somebody who has smoked these. I am always on the look out for a good AM cigar to have with coffee. I am not sure why, but these intrigue me.

Smoking this now. I like full bodied, full flavored smokes and by the name I figured this would not be that type . cigar, and I was correct. Wrapper looks nice with a couple large veins, but nothing to bad. The stick has a nice feel, not too tight but not spongy either. The cap looked good and cut nicely. Prelight draw tasted pretty good and got me a bit excited. On light up, the flavor was very mild with some grass and earth notes. The flavor stayed pretty much the same into the second third which brought out a very, very subtle spice note and a hint of bread. Thats where I am right now. Flavor wise I'm not impressed, but as I said, I kinda figured that from the name of the stick. I was more intrigued by the packaging and figured I'd give it a go. I guess this could be a good morning smoke for a lighter body cigar smoker. The construction seems to be good, nice straight burn with no issues or touch ups. I will report back when I am completely done.

Sorry guys, I never finished the review. Soon after I did my initial post, the flavor changed, and not for the better. I got a ash type flavor. Kinda like the smell of an ashtray, but in a "taste". I didnt even finish, leaving about 2" of the stick in the ashtray. For me, I would list this as a yard gar. However, everyones tastes are different and I'd love to hear someone elses idea of this cigar, especially a light to medium body smoker.

We were of course all hoping that maybe, just maybe this might turn out to be a decent stick, but alas, our dreams and hopes are dashed again by CI whom seems to derive great pleasure in leading us like sheep into the depths of cigar dogdom...................

Once again, this is just my take on the cigar. It's not horribly priced so pick one up and let me know what you all think. Maybe it's just me. I've been known to have bad taste before Beer

smoked the 7.2"x54 Churchill yesterday. If you like high mild Connecticut wrapped cigars then this blend is worth a try.ThumpUp Reminded me a lot of AVO and Perdomo Slow-Aged. For certain as good as both of those blends. Had a mildy sweet tobacco taste with a great draw.

also smoked the 6.2"x52 La Perla Habana Grand Pearl Belicoso. While the C.I. price of $9per is insane, this blend is also worth a try for $3per or less.ThumpUp

I had one of these a few weeks ago . To me this cigar was very mild. There was no specific notes that stuck out to me. Honestly for my preference this cigar was just a little blah. However for a new smoker or a mild smoker this cigar may be the way to go. The construction on the cigar I had was nice along with a great even burn. Just always remember everyone has a different pallet so how I experienced the cigar may differ from how you experience the cigar.

The mothership is giving these away as a sampler pack with $99 web orders and another very large Cigar site is featuring these on the front page. Funny this little brand with the odd name is being pushed very hard by the heavyweights right now. Must be a nice profit margin on these suckers.

i think thats already been done (with my yard gar experiment) so i dont think this breakfast blend will do it.

as far as the FC go. thx for the tip. i went and checked em out on CI. i like a bigger churchhill. and they got em (Canones 8.5" x 52, Royal Salute 7.5" x 54). ill pick up a fiver.

my only question is this. are all these different sizes the same cigar? heres the link: http://www.cigarsinterna...CS-AFA&stext=Arturo Fuente Chateau Vintage#fanmail

No. There are different wrappers and blends shown there. 858 would be good for you, chateau is great for the money, double chateau maduro might be a good choice for something bigger. You're not gonna go wrong here unless you go with its a boy or the Curley head.

I personally like the regular Sosa with my morning coffee. It is mild to medium and is consistent with some good flavor to it, and can be had on CBid for less than $10 per 5 pack, usually much less. BTW, when talking about taste it is spelled "palate", not pallet (a wooden base upon which stacks of cases are stored)...too many people make that mistake!
