I prefer a variety of smokes, not just one or two and I'm looking to add a new everyday smoke. Over the years my everyday sticks have included el mejor espresso, Nestor reserve, slow aged from perdomo, flor de oliva, and others. I prefer full flavor Maduro. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the madness 4kad! Where you been all those years?

Another decent everyday value smoke is the new Schizo line. More medium in body mixed filler that is a nice fishing or yard gar.

Hey, if you haven't, check this out! http://www.cigarbid.com/...hallenge-The-Thonginator

Vegas A and triple A both are good medium body sticks

the Pinar del Rio Reserva Reserva Limitada is an excellent smoke. Every size smokes great except the robusto. For $2per it is a daily steal at Cigar Bid. The 5 Vegas Serie 'A' Apex is also an excellent smoke. And to my surprise, the 7"x58 Reposado '96 Maduro Figurado, after a few months of de-cellowed aging, was pretty good.

Oliva V is pretty good affordable maduro. Others are Perdomo Champagne Noir, a few Toranos -Vault and Exodus. All can be found for $3-$4 each.

Not sure if the Cuba Libre One is maduro, but its wrapper is pretty dark, and is a very good bang for buck peppery full flavored strong tobacco smoke with a sweet finish, like a maduro.

Oliva V is one of my go-tos, but it has a sun grown habano wrapper. They do release a maduro version, but only a limited run every year.
You could try Joya de Nicaragua 1970 antano - pretty strong, fuller flavor - but not sure if that has a true maduro wrapper either. I think it does.

Have you ever had a nica libre aka Padron killer. most of these these can be had for under a dollar a stick here on cbid. Some are more thana dollar depending on there vitola and are supriseingly very good. Their flavor was surprisingly close to that of a Padron anniversary maduro, although the Nica is not as smooth or complex as a Padron but for the price of these things you cannot go wrong. http://finetobaccoreview.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/nica-libre-exclusivo/

Im glad you got a laugh out of it but I didnt make the term Padron killer up. The good ol internet has label them the Padron killer. just search it .the Nica Libre looks smokes ,feels like a padron and the band is very similar to the Padron. its vey obvious what Fernandez was and did accomplish here. LMFAO im sure there will be others that totally agree.

JP,
It was CI marketing bullcrapers that first coined the phrase "Padron killer". The fact that some reviewer(s) actually believed the hype, perpetuated it, and convinced others, just goes to show the power of suggestion.

I’ve smoked them and personally wouldn’t pay a buck, but that is my taste, not yours. If you enjoy them, and can get them cheap, then go for it. Nothing wrong with a good, inexpensive cigar, and I have tons of my favorites.

Yeah a lot of folks here would agree...with Dave (DP). Just because it is on the Internet (remember any fool can put something on the Internet). These might be ok for the price but they are far from a Padron.

Legends Maroon,
Oliveros El Padrino Edicion Italiana (these need to be aged though),
Oliveros 1927,

And depending on your price range:

Punch and Punch Grand Puro.

K. Hansotia Cuban Legacy When they first came out, people here routinely trashed these. I thought they were excellent golf gars, and everyday offerings. In fact, one of the better Gurkhas out there.

Also, Conseguras are a hidden gem. People that I know, who know their stogies, find these their go-to for inexpensive, everyday smokes. The contruction on them is actually pretty good overall. They're seconds and rejects, but the fact is that for the price, you won't find a better value.

Gran Habano III Siglos - impressive cigar for the price.

Not sure about the Sosas. I went to the Sosa store in Florida when I took the family to Walt Disney World, and I was really impressed with their upper-tier stuff. They might be worth a try.

Sanco Panza Doble Maduro would be very close to the Nestors you're smoking now.

Frescos are a bit of a crap-shoot. If not aged long enough, they tend to have a soapy flavor.

I didn't have the same experience. The libre was a real turd, however the padron was one of my favorite smokes.

I agree with Joey Woop Woop

Nica Libre looks just like a Padron. From about three miles away. Up close and in smoking formation, terrible construction, bland taste, lightly packed, spongey, and had a bitter after taste that just wouldn't quit. Fell for the false advertisement many years ago that these were "Padron like" and bought a fiver. The only similarity is that some of the markings on the band fall into the same color catagory. And thats even a stretch. I would throw them away if somebody gave them to me, let alone pay for one.

Oh BTW, I just did a little rummaging through the humis and I found you another M80. While I was in there, also saw some TAA 11's and 12's, Franks, Lil Boris, Wolfman, MB 1 & 2's, Opus and Anejogs. I didn't see any T110's, or Big Boris though. LOL

I like most Toranos except for that horrid Noventa. I'm pretty sure Torano doesn't even make that one anymore (cough, cough). Yes, I believe the story of how CI found 10,000 boxes of a discontinued premium hidden in a cave on the Island of Misfit Toys. I also bought a bridge today.

I actually know of a B&M shopping these for $14/each...I smoked the Tributo and 50yr for a week straight..I actually like these two a lot.."Have you tried the Noventa?" $14 a pop! I said, "yeah..I bought 10 of em for like 12 bucks and now I don't know what to do with them.."

They aren't DISGUSTING...decent yard gar.. I'll smoke one again in a year or two and see if they've gotten any better.

The Dominicos are on a whole 'nother level..

I do think the 50yr is a pretty dang good value stogie, though..when they aren't plugged..

Just let them sit for 6 month or more.
They almost never are on auction here.

The Noventa your B&M have where probably the OR. Nothing like the "resurrected" ones you got here. I still wouldn't pay $14 though.
