In regards to Taps86. A while back, there was a thread saying this place is boring, hopefully this livens it up.

I am the anonymous PMer that sent hill some info.

From the noob PIB thread
Taps86 wrote:
Good Lord there is a bunch of mooches in here...

Taps86 wrote:
****. If i smoked cheap **** I would. No offense.
pg 35

he says he won't get in on the n00b PIB because he doesn't smoke cheap chit

From the non-elitist PIB
Taps86 wrote:
I could, but I'd bring this thread to a hault with what I smoke.
p 41

I'll stick to the Vet thread.
p 41
Taps86 wrote:
**** someone could go drop 15 bucks on the Oliva G up on Cbid and send it to him.
pg 41

He's says he would bring the non-elitist PIB to a halt with what he smokes. Also is bashing on someone because they listed Oliva Gs that he could get for 15 bucks

From the elitist PIB
Oscar wrote:
Just got the package! Thanks for the smokes!

Taps hit me with,

Oliva Serie V Maduro
Oliva Serie G Maduro x 3
Ortega Wild Jim
pg 66

Taps86 wrote:
Next time I'll get you with more Oscar. I got my shipment today from Cbid. I got Master Blends, Padrons, 2 Oliva Samplers with the special releases.

So he doesn't smoke cheap chit, and thinks he would bring the non-elitist PIB to a halt with his very elitist smokes yet he includes THREE Oliva Gs in the package he sent to Oscar from the elitist PIB(Oscar's a great guy for not calling you out on this)

Oh, and this is what you posted as your list, after you picked up Oscar
• Oliva Serie V Maduro Especial 2008
• Cohiba Edicion Diamante
• Cohiba 1966 Edición
• Padron Family Reserve 85 Years
• Padron Serie 1926-
• Gurkha – Not a big fan of the brand, but my father told me I needed to try the 125th Anniversary
• Tatuaje Cojunu 2012
• My Father Le Bijou 1922
• Flor de las Antillas Toro
• Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Pyramid

Arturo Fuente-Never tried (Told these are a must before I hit up Punta Cana in May.)
Eddie Ortega- Never tried
La Flor- Never tried
Kristoff- Never tried

Granted, the rules for the elitist PIB say that you only have to have 1 off of the list, but if you had read about some of stuff that gets PIBed on that thread, you probably would've known better. I was surprised the vets even let you get in.

The above was for starters. bobby said these issues should be handled thru PMs. I DID PM Taps and called him out. He told me he was "restocking".

So let's see what happens after he restocks.

shaun's list from the non-elitist

shaun341 wrote:
Now that I am home and had time to regroup from craigs sneak attack on me here is my list.

Verocu #9,#5
MUWAT +11
Asylum 13 robusto

Or any med/full or full maduro you are liking for under $8

Thanks again for the turn on here Craig!!

Taps hits him with
shaun341 wrote:
Got my PIB from Taps thanks a lot looking forward to all of these.

Oliva G maddie
padron xooo maddie
JDN cabinetta
Cubra Libre 1
Viaje Late Harvest

Only smoked 1 Viaje before (Stuffed Turkey) and loved it, have looked at the late harvest just never bought any. Really want to smoke that one now but I will wait a few.

So, basically, Taps is picking people up and hitting them with the bare minimum 5er. nothing wrong with that. But as far as matching the list, i dunno, although, shaun did leave it very vague

another one, he picks up blake, again from the non-elitist

blakedeshotel1 wrote:

and this is what blake gets
blakedeshotel1 wrote:

I only see 2 out of 3 on the original list (highlighted). I thought the non-elitist, you were supposed to match at least three off of the list?

Have at it gents. You can bash on me if anything i pointed out is wrong. Uniform is off right now.

you don't have to have any kind of respect for me whatsoever, since i have none for you.

I have no testicular fortitude? REALLY?

You keep making excuses about all these issues. how you mistook MSP for anything other than MSRP. How you are "restocking"

And for the record the only one anyone should have a problem with was OSCARS and I did what I was told to do by a VET. So I did it. Just like I told you.

For Blake and Shaun though. I told them exactly what I was going to send them before I even sent them. Neither of them had any problem with it. My vet told me a 5er is what you are to send. I have been here a month and noticed some people send a 5er and some send more.

If it makes you feel any better, he is not the only one that PM'd me. Seems you are making quite an impression. I only brought it to light.

My suggestion would be to read the 1st post- think- regroup. Start over again. You may very well be a good dude but some of your actions have stirred the waters...

Really. The only thread anyone got upset with was the NonElitist Thread. Where I admitted it was wrong and overlooked MSRP.

Lets keep the name calling to a minimum, i would hate for this to get shutdown early. We are all ADULTS. We should be able to solve this respectfully, without name calling.

you think it's just us two? and none of the vets that are thinking the same?

You are soooo in your own little world.

Don't think for a second that because the vets don't chime in, that they are not thinking the same thing.

they are taking the wait and see approach, which i was taking at first, until today.

Who are you again to tell me what to do? If anyone had any problem with my PIBs I was doing they could have came to me.

Yet you keep saying others had a problem with what I was doing YET not a single one brought it to my attention via a PM that MSP meant MSRP.

I grew up in a military family and was taught to Do onto others as you would want done to you. Respect is not given it is earned. It was an honest mistake and something I truly did over look. Boy could you imagine people being hung or tortured for something so minut.

Viajes under $8???

Maybe bragging about your cigars then waiting for shipments forms opinions for some folks.......and if you know you made a mistake maybe name calling isn't a good idea. In the end folks here can be protective and forgiving, so sometimes letting things hash out is best.

You must think that respect is earned by bashing on other n00bs and thinking that you are better than them, so much so, to the point that you have not even ONCE picked anybody up in the n00b PIB. because you don't smoke cheap chit. or because you would bring the non-elitist PIB to a halt with what you smoke.

See no one saw the PM where I mentioned this to OSCAR and was going to wait for the shipment to arrive and I was told not to worry and to send out what I had that this was in his and Steves mind to build friendship and to gain respect amongst the boards. So I did what I was told.
