I don't have time to go back and do all the searching and quoting you do. Steve advised me on what to do. Oscar said to send what i had in a PM. I believe Steve said all you needed was 1 and to send everyday smokes. Well Oliva G and Oliva V are my everyday smokes so I included them.


So people are going to blame FGM over a mistake as small as what MSP actually meant. Maybe it should have been changed in the main post of the NonElitist Thread.

One thing in my PM that I will say publicly: Taps did go meet up with some of the local BOTLs recently. I'd like to hear one of them comment, not anything secondhand.

As DD1700 said, we all make mistakes or send out a one-sided PIB/trade. And yes, that is why "Who's your vet" is asked, they and others help vouch for us N00b's on whether we're making a n00b mistake, or are an azzhat. Kind of like the real world used to work with village elders or tribal chiefs maintiaining order.

I applaud you for standing your ground but you must also know when to admit error. At which time you do not continue to attack the people showing you these errors. I am admittedly blunt about things but I get perturbed when it seems to me someone is trying to take advantage of the fine people on this board.

A good rule of thumb in ANY PIB is to try to send better than you receive. That's about all there is...

4 hours ago, I admitted to the honest mistake(error) of MSP meant MSRP in the main thread you mentioned. Granted I even overlooked where someone mentioned MSRP. I admitted to all of it and took it as you NOOBs busting my balls.

Then GAE felt the need to make an entire new post attacking me.

1) You told me that you send care packages out through Shaw AFB. If that is true, why you would bash on anybody else trying to support the troops.

I have sent over 125 cigars to other deployed Soldiers from my own stash and that number will go up over the next 2 months. And that's not even counting the cigars I give out to all the Soldiers here in my own unit. I even asked for your address, and offered to buy you a Salerno t-shirt, before I ever got anything from you. Still waiting on an address too but now I may reconsider.


I highly recommend that you choose your spots in regards to sarcasm. I know there is a lot of bashing others around here, but you really just did it in the wrong thread.

Like I said, I could have blown this up within the thread but decided against it as I am giving you the benefit of the doubt.

I would just like to say that I was pleased with my non-elite pib I received from Taps. I did leave the list vague at the end hoping it to be easier for anyone to pick it up as it was a gifted turn and I didn't want to hold it up for days. It was a nice selection of smokes in my honest opinion and would also be in the range of what I could send back if I were to pick someone up, so no complaining here.
