this would have came in handy for me a couple months ago for which bourbons I wanted to seek out. I am thinking that vodka sounds like the drink of choice for summer. just finished off a bottle of Titos tonight.

I'm eyeballing the Rittenhouse rye and thinking about what to smoke that will match up with that spice.

Well since we haven't heard from you since that last post I'm going to assume all that good whisky(not JD)sent you into shock.Once you recover I highly recommend Balvenie Doublewood....between this and Macallan's this is what fine whisky was meant to be.

I used to drink Glenlivet fairly regularly til I stumbled upon the two mentioned above.Glenlivet has that very faint amount of peat and an even more subtle amount of smoke.I detest both in any amount........The two mentioned above contain none of either.....Just stonefruit,a little citrus(Macallan's)and tons of whisky goodness.

BTW if your into peat, smoke, iodine and phenol I recommend Laphroiag.....It makes me wanna hurl. But whatever floats YOUR boat is fine indeed.

Agree with you 100%.

I wont never have Glenlivet on hand though. Balvenie is a nice sit down drink. Just doesn't do it for me after a hard day of work. Only one to take that edge of for me is Glenlivet.
