Fucque it. I’m gonna cross-post this one too.

Old Forester Signature 100 proof is my favorite bourbon......I've spent more but never been more satisfied.Yes there are better bourbons but you will spend 2-3 times as much, just not worth it for me.I will splurge and pick up a bottle of Blanton's maybe once twice a year......if I run across it.All these new bourbons with hefty price tags have done nothing but disappoint.

I went by to visit my local guy last thursday,he had just received a case of 1.75L bottles of Knob Creek..........my old go to for years. At $44 I pulled the trigger.........should have pulled it twice.I may just call him tomorrow and have him sit one more back for my next visit.

Yeah, that’s one of my favorite whiskeys, neat or on ice
Always get the 1.75 ltr whenever possible. Gonna drink it, so it makes economic sense

Two 50ml bottles of bushmills 10yr that were half empty. I figured someone took a sip but turns out they had just evaporated.

They belonged to my wife's departed grandfather.

Haven’t yet.

Thanks for the recommendation but can’t remember if I’ve even seen it in the stores here. But other than Sazerac, I don’t reach for the other ryes I have so would want to finish off a couple of those before I buy the EHT rye.

Old Forester is good. And reasonably priced. It also seems easier to find. That counts.

This is becoming more of a problem. Luckily I have a guy, he runs a mini mart but brings in craft beers and good liquor at retail. I go there because he's an honorable cat and doesn't gouge, he could, but he doesn't.

Integrity, it still matters. horse

Benchmark Old No. 8. Not the world best bourbon, but for 12 a bottle it's perfect to have on the shelf for cocktails. I was at my craft brewery/pub and they do "train shots" when the trains are gong by. $2 for any rail/well. I was sipping a stout and thought "why not". So I got one, it was pretty damned good for rail bourbon to the point I asked what it was.

LIke I said, Russells reserve it ain't. But for folks like my Son in Law that want something mixed in it, they don't get my Pappy. LOL.
