Last night, 1792 BIB.

I had a bottle of the 1792 BIB a year or so ago and thought it was exceptional. This bottle not so much. Presently, I would have to classify it average at best.

My son got me a gift card for Total Wine, so I went and got myself a bottle of RedBreast 12 Single Pot Still at the recommendation of Celtic and then I also got a bottle of Glen Fohdry 12 Mizunara Oak Cask.

Looking forward to sampling both.

Redbreast 12 is good.

Glen Fohdry 12 matured in Japanese Mizunara oak casks is damn good. 47.1% abv, too... it's most certainly a speyside, but those casks give it a hint of peat/smoke. Just a light touch of it... and it's just doin' it for me. Wow.

Old Tub... one ice. Scotch glass is half full with it so it shouldn't water down much. Whistle

Ron called this one. It's cheap, but it's good.

Nikka?

Don't remember the rest, was a sample that I got from a whiskey of the month and lost the bottle. Was good though and now disappointed I can't remember what it was.

Glen Fohdry 47% Mizunara oak cask Speyside....smooth stuff (thanks Shawn)...didn't need a couple drops of water to smooth it out, like the Oban...

great night of drinking, smoking and sharing stories with ZRX and MACS...I had an oz of Oban, and 2 oz's of Glen Fohdry...my lightweight azz was buzzed...

Makes me think of an excellent entry whiskey. Not much going on here but it is real smooth.

The C920 needs a small cube IMO.......a very small cube.Just enough to tame a little of that heat but open up all that 12 year goodness.
