Bought some Bib and Tucker on the recommendation of the Total Wine guy working the whiskey section. We seemed to have similar tastes in Scotch...

But I'm not really a fan of it. Sooooo... few dashes of orange bitters, a touch of agave... and a couple ice cubes with an orange peel... damn good old fashioned.

I’ve never found anything from Blacones that wasn’t a hot mess. Glad you did, but I ain’t paying to find out. Been fooled too many times by them.

Those look interesting. I wonder if I can source them locally.

BTW, congrats on the win Saturday. We played like a bottom tier high school team. Had Nix ran and much North and South as he did East and West he would have had a 300 running yards game.

They got lucky but I'm glad the cigar curse has finally been broken.

Picked up a bottle of Redemption Rye. For a ~$30 bottle, it's good. Not terribly complex, but spicy and good.

So I had an old fashioned the last time the wife and I went out to dinner and it was fantastic. Asked which bourbon they made it with and was told Old Forester... not sure which one, though.

You guys that like Old Forester, which one is it you like best?

Shawn I'm a huge fan of the 100 proof OF Signature........... much more flavor than the standard 86 proof.I think you'd also love the entire OF Whiskey Row Series,1870 Original,1897 BIB,1920 Prohibition and 1910 Old Fine Whiskey.I absolutely loved the 1920 but must admit the 1910 can hold its own.But honestly for mixing Old Fashioned's I'd give the nod to the 100 Proof Signature..........I think you'll also find this one an exceptional sipper at a fantastic price point.

Good luck
