Dickle 12.....very sweet. Not as woody as I hoped for. But you can def taste the sweet corn.

Still gotta say my Double Oaked Woodford is better IMO

You got that right. For a 12 year. Called my old man told him to get a bottle. He's a Jack Hot Toddy in the winter kinda guy.

Would need to ad honey to his toddy with Dickle 12 yr

Thanks for the recommendation. Makes a Durn good Old Fashioned. (I don't do the oranges or fruit in mine)

Every time I go to Costco, think about buying the Woodford, but the bottle is huge and don't know if I'll like it.

Might just have to snap up on it.

Looked for the Dickle 12 last time I went to the booze store, but they were out of it, but they had the Dickle 8, but don't see anyone drinking that, is the 12 better?

They did have Dickle Reserve, but that was more...

Help me out you f'in alcoholics, what should I buy next.

Alright, I'll hold out till they have the 12 back in stock.

Probably end up with the reserve too, lmao.

Thanks for the advice!

Pierre Ferrand Reserve Cognac. Talking to Mithrandir about Cognac made me thirsty for Cognac. Imagine that! BTW, a bargain as far as Cognac goes. Not stated, but is aged 20 years according to rumor. Seems about right by taste. $50.00.

Hibiki 12 year old, Japanese Whiskey. Smooth...notes of vanlla, caramel, subtle peatiness, slightly sweet...Glenmorangie-esque. The Yamazaki 15 yr is really tasty stuff too.

Weller 12! one of the locals was finally able to get a delivery, been about a year since I last saw this on the shelves. Last year about 25 bones, today 35! but I'm worth it.

followed that with EW 1783, must make me a Ron wannabe.

I can see where one might lean that way. Both very good, a matter of personal taste.

entry level Four Roses Manhattan, first time with blood orange bitters...nice difference.

I use 3 parts Bourbon, 1 part Sweet Vermouth, Fernet Branca for bitters and just a minor splash of Cointreau in my Manhattans.

What kind of glasses did you get? I've been experimenting. I want to buy some new glassware.
