Glen Moray 12 year Speyside single malt...thanks to a tip from, um, Speyside!
$30, truly a bargain in the world of Scotch.

Thanks Allen.

Balvenie Caribbean Cask followed by Monkey Shoulder.

I don't think Glen Moray is available in Alabama. Looked in 3 stores, no luck.

It might not be. I can get it in Wisconsin, but not Illinois.

Much richer. Hits more deep notes as opposed to the high notes th 12 shows. Nice butterscotch nose and finish. Hints of carmel and toffee. A hint of citrus on the finish. I think the extra 4 years are in Sherry cask, so 6 years in Sherry cask as opposed to 2. Much darker color.

I looked at the local for Glen Moray last weekend but didn't see any. Going to check out a couple smaller places here and see if they have a bottle lingering around.

Only $55 at BevMo. That's inexpensive for a 16... Think

Had a small glass of Balvenie doublewood last night. Seemed to have helped the ol' sinuses.

you and I have crossed in the mail. I went from bourbon exclusively to allowing a few single malts in, and that is one of 'em.

If you really want to muddy the water, try Bushmills 16 or 21 single malt Irish whisky. Don't think you will be sorry.

Second whiskey lottery of the year yesterday. Walked away empty handed on the good stuff. Was hoping for a parkers heritage but no such luck (f#$% price tag but I'll totally pay it for one of those!) Watched four roses eliott's select and 2016 limited go by too =( Also missed out on the Weller12.....

Drank some Blood Oath Pact #2. Good bourbon. Not worth the $90 price tag to me at this time.

Anyone's fall hunt going better than mine?
