I was drinking Envy, he was signing autographs and I was flirting with his woman.

Too bad she is not into balding, broke, bad heart, overweight married guys!

If she was into that, the line forms here...

Tonight, Balcones Rumble and High West Rendezvous, both courtesy of Tyler and both excellent...

Are you digging this as much as I am?I prefer it to Bakers and Basil Hayden.........which I used to think were the best pours coming out of the Beam Distillery.OGD 114 has definitely changed my position on that.

Definitely agree on the overpriced. Glad my BIL got it as a Christmas gift last year though otherwise I would have never tried it.

Basil Hayden last night and was a first for me. Four Roses small batch was my current favorite out of the few bourbons I have tried but I do believe this is my new favorite.

There is definitely something bizarre happening with us. I just ashed my last baitfish too. I mean 5 minutes ago! But I'd only buy them again if I saw them for about $2.

The Elmer T. was worth more than I paid however...

how was bourbon weekend dude?

Strange indeed.

Balcones is this coming weekend. Heading down to Mikey's on Saturday. The event sold out in less than a minute. Mikey and I managed to get tickets, but they were for later in the day, so some expressions may not be available. It'll still be a blast. Beer

Guess who scored a couple bottles of W.L.Weller 12....as close as you can get to Pappy Van Winkle without actually scoring some PVW.

I shall report back

It's been a long while since I had a bottle of Pappy.........all that being said yes and no.The Pappy is good but at twice the price......No.I'll take the WLW 12 all day long over the PVW 13.Now when we bump it up a notch to the PVW 21.............ya know a hundred bones versus 25 for some great 12 year old bourbon,I think I still go with the WLW 12 YO.I don't even drop a c-note on a great bottle of Scotch any more.
