Saw Very Old Barton Bottled in Bond making eyes at my at the liquor store so I grabbed a bottle. A lot of people speak very highly of this bargain bottle and it delivers. Bottom shelf BIBs are lit.

Thanks Paul! I couldn't be better, took half the week off and have been catching up on my whiskey and cigars!!!! And I'm hitting the VOB BiB again. Seriously solid for 12.99 or whatever I just paid. Have seen it on sale even lower. Drinks like 2-3x it's price tag for sure.

I toured Barton back in Jan or Feb and I don't remember Trying it at the tasting. I do remember one of the lower proof ones tasted like sack. Seems Sazerac is putting all their marketing power behind the 1792 line and doesn't even
Mention vob on the website. The 6 year age statement disappeared semi recently (they can still be found!)

Got a chance yesterday to reserve a bottle of Batch #2 Bulleit Barrel Strength 2017 coming in @ 125.4 proof. Reviews sound very good and since it was not releasing to Indiana @ all, this is a stroke of good fortune!!!!

Yesterday while waiting for our flight, "Buy a Beer, get half off on shots," at the bar so drank two beers, got two shots. Blanton's and then a Templeton Rye.

Went to the liquor store tonight to pick up a new offering from MGP Distillery called Tanners Creek and while there they had Old Forester 1920 Prohibition on sale for $45 ( reg. $60+ ) SCORE!!!
Also sampled one they had on sale called Coopers Mark SB...not bad for $20

If your near any of the participating Liquor Barn stores in KY. they're releasing some AWESOME bourbon offerings tomorrow. 10/21 Get there EARLY, there WILL be a line to get in. One bottle per person, which is understandable but @ the same time....a BUMMER!!
Just sign up for their VIP program online and violla....

Yesterday I printed off our tickets to Big Red Liquors annual Bourbon Expo and Pappy Lottery...our third year for this event. ( However I forgot that only three days before this my bride goes for knee surgery, looks like I'll be pushing her round in a wheel chair...fog )
