I bid on, and won, a tin here on CigarBid solely because I thought it'd be hilarious to have a tin that has printed on it, in big letters:

John Cotton's Numbers 1 & 2

So I received it and immediately showed the tin to a friend. His reaction was, "Who's John Cotton, and why is he peeing and pooping in a tin and then selling it?"

Humor value: confirmed!

However I have no idea if the tobacco is good or if it sucks, yet.

Hi
The John Cotton line is a homage to a pipe tobacco line that was discontinued many years ago that originated in a shop in Edinburgh, Scotland. Russ Ouellette apparently looked at source material, older samples and his memories to reformulate the brand's blends which are produced by the Standard Tobacco Company of Pennsylvania. I have enjoyed every blend I have tried ( Sweet English and Latakia I have yet to sample) . They sell from $12-13 a tin online. The entire line has varying amounts of Latakia. If you enjoy Latakia blends, they are worth a try.
Best

3516 - Captain Black Bold over a few days in a seconds cob.

Anyone else do that-smoke a pipe for a few minutes, let it go out and sometimes not get back to it for a day or two? Cheap cob so not too concerned but would that mess up a good briar?

3517-STC Bengal Slices.

And yes, I frequently load a bowl and smoke it throughout the day or two. Especially during the winter in the garage. I also use a cob most of the time.

Not-drunk overbidding on a bunch of pipe baccy. Some I've had and like, some new ones.

Anyone up for a Pipes and baccy box pass? Nothing I could start it with would be top shelf or unobtanium, but wouldn't mind organizing it and launching a large FRB.
