Well, now I see I got the letter too. Ah well, at least we tried. Reminds me of the time I bid on JFK's golf clubs back around '95 or '96 I think it was. $500 was my bid through Sotheby's. Was excited that I even pulled it off, especially with only about $300 in my bank account. Of course, the winning bid was much higher, $5,000 I think. Don't know if I'll be waxing nostalgic the same way about our little "Humi-Gate" incident in as many years, but the thrill was almost the same. And, now I have no 'splainin' to do to the Mrs. about the five enormous crates an 18-wheeler just dumped off in our driveway. Win-Win! Yay! Uggh. TCB

I've threatened them with a BBB complaint and a strongly worded letter. I also now have a contract attorney on retainer to seek damages.

I got the e-mail as well. I replied letting them know they had 24 hrs to refund the money or I would consider our contract valid. They did accept the consideration for the contract after all.

Did any of you really think you'd get a $1200 humidor for like $12.00? Seriously?

I drove buy a gas station on the way home from work yesterday in a wind and rain storm. The sign said $ _.53 (9/10). I filled up and expected 53 cents per gallon but only to find out that the wind storm that came through blew off the "3" tile of the sign.

I'm OUTRAGED and will be contacting my lawyer for false advertisement, bait and switch, Habeas corpus, Lemon Law and anything else I can throw at the wall.

Really? Did anyone read post #2?

I guess common sense ain't that common nowadays.

Maybe someone on here works at a screen printing shop. We can get them to print up a dozen or so shirts that say

"My Dad Tried to Buy a $1200 Humidor and All I Got was This $15 Card for WallyWorld."

(before someone gets pissed at me, grow a sense of humor... you know this place and you know this thread will be dredged up for years to come. You have to admit, in hindsight, it is kinda funny)
