I do miss the blend of the old Oliva O Blue cloth band. The newer Oliva O Maduro IS NOT the same.

There are quite a few, as Habanos has been busy dropping my favorite smokes.

Partagas coronas, especially the cabs.
Punch SS#2 and SS#1, as well as the RS#12.
Bolivar corona CE, in cabs, as well as the cab PC.
They have been steadily discontinuing the 50 count cabs, across all Marques, which in my opinion is a travesty. For some reason, cigars always seem to age better, in cabinets.

Amen to these!

I don't know why they ditch the good stuff Sad

CCs: El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme in cabs. The dress box version is NOT the same cigar, I don't give a sh*t what anybody says.

NCs: Oliva Grand Cameroon, La Vieja Habana Early Years, Plasencia Reserva Organica EL 2001, and the original release Value Line Honduran 500 from FSS. The most amazing $1.50 cigar I've ever had to this day.

You are quite correct sir, they are NOT the same. Very few cab vs dress are the same.

They were a decent yard-gar. The ones they had last year were not as good as the ones they had a few years ago that had "selection de borato" on the wrapper. I may still have a few of those oldies somewhere.

The CC I miss is La Flor De Cano. Apparently they were already going out of production when I scooped up a bunch of them for under $2 a stick in Cancun. Found out a couple of years ago that they were actually machine made (and sold in aluminum tubes).

La Luna maduro fuertes was great smoke. I could not get enough of them.

There was guy that came out here and worked with me when I was in IT. He came here from Florida. He brought a bunch of La Luna's and knew the people involved. They were excellent smokes.

He also gave me a Montecristo #2 CC. Herfing

Can't say I miss them the most but the Cupido Criollo original blend is up there. I loved the Doble from this line. I think I have one or two buried deep in a tuperdor somewhere. After they were discontinued the La Carolina's were said to be the same thing but I didn't agree.

Then they did a re-release of the Cupido Criollo with the Ad copy saying same blend as the original... blah... blah. blah... I grabbed a box of these but again, not the same although closer than the La Carolina's.

Oh well, all good things come to an end.

too many to list just one...

OR CAO Cameroon Anniverasario
OR El Rico Habano (any)
Macanudo's (?!?!) Yes. Back when they were rolled in Jamaica with Jamaican tobacco.
Father & Son's Rosado Mini-torpedo (sold locally, a "second" rolled by Perdomo I believe. Sooo good.)
OR Perdomo Patriarch Corojo
non-Cuban El Rey Del Mundo pre-2003 (all of them)

so many more...fog

Jamaican Macanudos

I really used to dig the Caviars, they were the petite coronas sold in three packs.

Yeah, the new Edge Sumatra they brought out was NOTHING compared to the original release. Of course, either my palate has changed or all Edges have gone downhill in the past few years.

I'll miss the Perdomo ESV '91 once I'm out of them. The Connie and the Maduro were great.

The old Reserve Series Maduro was even better, IMO.

I miss those too....talk about a value smoke! The coronas were definitely the best in the line but the robs weren't that far behind.

Some excellent sticks already mentioned, so as not to be redundant.....

Perdomo ESV 91 maddies
And
NHC ELO 1's

Excellent budget smokes.

The ELO's can still be had.....but with a red and white label and a higher price tag.....

The ESV maddies aged beautifully.

I also miss rum cured crooks, believe it or not. It'd be a nice break to light one up and revisit my early smoking years.

Something from back then I could smoke legally now, I mean. Shhh

Perdomo cabinet series Oscuro "E" perhaps the best Oscuro I have ever enjoyed. An aged smoke that just gets richer and smoother over time.

Got a bit nostalgic this weekend, doing some cooler diving. I'm down to a few 'one eaches' left of a number of cigars discontinued well before this thread started...one Diablo, one MB1, one Royal Silk, one (maybe 3?) red cello Perdomo maddies, last Gurkha (one of the double perfectos from 9 or 10 years ago), last couple Perdomo ESV 91 maddies, etc ....couldn't find any PD II's, nor Angel 100's, not even a TPB-1.....

Would never have made anyone's 'best of' list, but I was hoping to find one last Sol Cubano Maduro....I liked getting them for two bucks here, but they were probably the bestest, chocolatey-est, consistent $2 cigar here for a long time....didn't find any....not even one CI Anny, either...though I still have the clock my wife made from a CI Anny box....sigh

And to reiterate: Pretty much all of the Cuban coronas, Lonsdales and most of the other thin gauge cigars that have been discontinued. Also all three of the Cuban Partagas Serie du Connaisseurs. fog

Garo Double Maduro
CAO Caramello Joe. Didn't even tasted infused, besides the sweetened tip. But that comes off with bourbon. Rich, sweet tobacco flavor.

I came to the realization today that I can hardly remember anyone's name from the public school system (granted I went to at least one different school each year, that's besides the point)

So I doubt I'll miss any past blends :D
