I'm guessing that the package was both undeliverable (to my address...) AND unreturnable (to bolt's address...), and that Bethpage, NY is some sort of dumping grounds for packages that they don't know what to do with. But that's just a guess.

I understand that it was undeliverable in Los Angeles.

I can understand that maybe it was unreturnable in Columbus.

I can even understand that such mail might be sent to a common place such as Bethpage, NY.

But why on earth would it then be sent to yet another place, i.e. Cincinnati? Like, if it was bound for Cincinnati, why the stop in Bethpage? Who's making these decisions? Based on WHAT?

OH GOD WHAT'S HAPPENING WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN

Weapon X! I got the package today and wanted to say thank you, holy cow man. The 4 bags of jerky are half gone each already, it's all so good. but I really like the antelope! I will buy a pound of each if'n your sellin. I also just went up to the gold course to see about a pass this year......so the towel will be getting used a bunch this summer, needed a new one. The smokes are great too, Rosalones is new to me, tasty looking wrapper though. I'm interested to smoke the infamous Weapon X as well. Anyway, twas a great package to open, I appreciate it. Is the addy on the box ok to use? If not, PM me an addy......otherwise brace for return fire.

Have you tried calling them by any chance? I did, but didn't get very far -- they gave me a case # and told me that somebody would get in touch with me. That was a week ago. If nothing else I think you're entitled to the $50 insurance...

Wow, as if on cue, it's suddenly is Los Angeles again. Now, maybe they'll still be unable to deliver it, but it seems like progress nonetheless.

Heading down to Indianapolis tomorrow for a gun show.

There's a guy there every show selling wild game jerky. Ostrich, Alligator, Bear, Deer, Antelope, Snake, etc. I usually give him a $50 and come home with a sack of dried smoked meat.

So. What's the phrase to join? Who wants to taste my exotic meat? fog

Er.. Who wants my jerky? Beer

Heads up: if you don't drink beer, don't "buy in" to this one. There will be beer. I don't own enough cigars to make it worthwhile to those that don't drink beer.

I actually talked to some guy at my local PO. He'd never seen anything like it, and in his opinion it was now 'dead.' I asked if it was possible to revive a dead package, but apparently the answer is no. He also told me that you have to wait 21 days without any activity before you can file an insurance claim. The last activity was Friday...

So, I guess there is still some small chance that it shows up at my house, but he wasn't too optimistic.

This does not mean, however, that you have to send another package. Stuff happens...it's no biggie.
