Hey Ghost,

The stores in my immediate area were out of Russian River, but I called one a little further away who said they have the Damnation. I'm gonna head out there one night this week and let you know.

Just out of curiosity, how do you guys normally send beer?

one 22oz bottle, medium flat rate box, if you can seal the bottle using a vacuum sealer that's great, pack very well

two 22oz bottles in a large flat rate same as above

You can go MFR with two if you want to risk it. I think I used an MFR for reckless.

Don't tell the post office that there is booze in there. In fact, don't even mention liquid.

I always wanted to try some of the Russian River beers. Pliny the Elder & Younger come to mind. I buy it online but Kentucky is a no-ship state.

I'm a noob here but throwing it out there.

If anyone is looking for 3 Floyds beers, I drive by the brewery daily.

I'd be willing to trade for some gars or beers or hot sauce or wool socks or whatever of equal value you're willing to trade.

Last keg of Alpha King I bought was $240 + deposit iirc

Haven't been able to order a keg myself since '10, and the brewery doesn't direct sell kegs.

Last time I asked was probably a year ago, store I ordered kegs from before said they can only get an occasional keg of lower demand beers like Robert te Bruce, but AK, GBH are impossible.

I just brew my own clones. 3F isn't that difficult to clone, most of their beers, at least the hoppy brews, use the same basic ingredients, just with different hop schedules. I have 10g of my gumballhead clone in my kegerator right now.

Feel free.

My interest in cigars is an extension of my love of beer.

I used to have a cellar of beers before I learned to brew my own, wife still ages some commercial brews and some of my big beers.

Since I'm the noob, figured I'd prove my intent with a picturegraph.

These will be boxed and shipped when I can get them out. I don't have a very forgiving schedule. I'm on call this weekend so hopefully I can get them out Saturday.

best way to ship bottles imo - Bubble wrap first the vacuum seal (make sure you pay special attn to the top and bottom as they will be touching the walls of the box) some more bubble wrap and you should be safe to ship.

Wife wants some beer for beer trades. So if you're looking to trade beer for beer, I have several bombers and a small handful of 12oz bottles left. Beer for beer trades only - I send you a local non-distributed beer or two and you send me one or two in return. Wifey don't smoke, but she loves beer almost as much as I.

I live in WA Dan and I've never even heard of this brewery (Snipes Mountain) nor seen any of their beers in the store. Not sure if they make it out of the local market (Yakima) other than to maybe Seattle. I'll keep my eye out for ya though...although the 1st few reviews of it on BA don't sound promising.

Thanks Kyle, I hadn't read any reviews, but the aged in syrah barrels sounded interesting. No biggie if you can't find any, thanks for keeping an eye out though. Hope all is well with you and yours......enjoy that new youngster and try and get some sleep!

I use BA all the time, as well as ratebeer. I check both on every new to me beer pretty much. It's average dudes writing reviews and scoring beer. They have no agenda, so its different than reading CA reviews or some cigar blogger who happens tastes Macadamia nut and maraschino cherry in every cigar he reviews.

It doesn't always prevent me from trying stuff, but if there's enough folks who say it sucks, there's likely good reason.

Smart thinking there.

I saw that you had a Hop Valley Citrus Mistress the other day, and I just actually had to fly back to Eugene for work last weekend and I stay by the brewery for them in Springfield. They have some pretty tasty stuff and it helps that the bar is across the street from the hotel.

Hop drop and roll IPA from north Carolina.

Have some decent cigars for trade if you can ship a couple 4 packs to ca.
