Alex Custom Robusto '15

One of the best Cubans I have had in a long time. Perfect construction and burn with velvety smoke full of rich aromas/flavors of flowers, cocoa and wood notes. Alex is a master roller but he is also a genius blender. I have had many Behikes but these are just as good at about 15% the price.

I have a small stock of both but sure could use more so I didn't have to allocate them so sparsely. Right now I only smoke about one/month.

Punch Punch from a split some time ago. Fantastic, I really need to look at stocking up as these have been some of the most consistently excellent habanos I've had recently.

Results of a blind tasting I participated in on another site recently. These were all 5 1/8X42 PCs. There are 16 possible PC offerings currently available and I have had maybe 5-6 since this is not a vitola I smoke regularly. Each of 12 BOTL taking part made a short review and posted their guess for the 5 cigars:

A. HDM Coronation - my guess: RyJ Mille Fluers
B. H Upmann PC - my guess: Bolivar PC
C. RyJ Cedros #3 - my guess: HUPC (this was my favorite cigar of the five)
D. H Upmann Regalias - my guess: Rafeal Gonzales PC
E. Sancho Panza Non Plus - My guess: JLPC

Pretty embarrassing, but out of the 60 guesses there were only 3 who got the maker correct and none who actually guessed the exact cigar.

If you get a chance to do one of these, give it a shot, it's a lot of fun. You will learn something about your tastes.

Had a Cuaba Tradicionales on the boat Saturday. I'm going to have to look at the box code... I never bothered.

Didn't even notice they'd sent me Tradicionales when I ordered Exclusivos... but they're refunding the difference. d'oh!

The moral is find a profile you like and hope that a few of the cigars in the next box are similar.
