I really appreciate the heads up on freezing these. I've got some coming, going to do the fridge, freeze, fridge thing. Thanks folks, I wouldn't have thought of that.

From a trade with Brother Tuck back in 2016.

How was it, almost bought a box couple months ago when they were on sale and have been kicking myself for not pulling the trigger.

It was smooooth! Not real strong, mild-med at most. I’m generally a slow smoker so it lasted over an hour and a half. But, dunno how old it was other than the fact I got it 3 years ago. My guess is that Tuck had it for a lot longer than that. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help (...but yeah, you probably should be kicking yourself...LOL!...).

Last time LGC Medalille d'Or No. 2 were produced was 2014 according to OZ sources. I smoked through my last box in about a month and never saw them for sale after that except from profiteers. MMMMMM... always reminded me of graham crackers

I misread Conan's post and assumed the 4 not 2. I haven't seen the 2s before.

Either of you familiar with the LGC 4?

Forgot that the 2s were discontinued. Sorry, I have very little experience with the Cuban LGCs so can’t be of any help.

I thought fo’ sure I had an RC at home but when I went digging for it, to my embarrassment, found an H. Upmann Robusto instead d'oh!

But, the BBF was surely a more than adequate replacement and the fact that I got it via Alan made it even more appropriate. Herfing

Another fine stogie from Rfenst. Really nice victory smoke. Sure, it’s only Week 1 and yes, it was ugly but nonetheless, a sweet win over our oldest rival.

I haven’t smoked a lot of #4s but iirc, at least 50% of them were tight. I don’t look to acquire any more. Not talking

Thats Pepin. Now if he could only roll Cuban tobacco again you might have the perfect smoke.
