Jeff and I have been friends for like 30 - 35 years. Haven't seen him in a couple years. He called me up yesterday and came over to herf.

ERDM Demi Tasse 2008- It was real good rott and is amazing right now. Found it in a humi dive along with 8 more in a plastic bag. It has been a long time since I smoked a cigar, like maybe 1.5 years and this cigar reminded me of what havanas are all about.

Montecristo Joyita- at least 5+ years. Started out great with that wonderful chocolate flavor, but turned too strong 1/3 of the way through. Got 1 more left. **** it I don't think I'll ever smoke it.

My budy smoked the same cigars and found the same tasting notes.

He also smoked a 2006 H. Upmann Petit Upmann, which he said was bland. It was the last one of a few boxes I bought up from Ravi after Frank and I did a split, just to see what they were all about. It was an awsome little cigar back then. Shame.

Including the minor disapointments, I still enjoyed the cigars and look forward to maybe smoking one during the next v-herf.

I usually try one from each new box ROTT. This time I waited until after they came out of the freezer (ROOTF)

Very bad idea. Terrible taste, wonky burn, couldn't keep the wrapper burning, tunneled. Put the box away for a nap.

Bolivar Corona

I believe it has Standard Band C so from 2009 or a bit earlier.

Mahalos to Whistle. Ron gifted this when we met up in Vegas a couple years ago.

How was it? I had another one of the ones I had received, and with more rest it was quite a lot better than my first one (which was....quite bad...). Still not great, but smokeable. Hoping as they get more acclimated, they'll come around for me, but curious how other's boxes are doing.

I liked the flavor profile and also think this was the best one yet from the box. Prolly more time.

Good to know DED, I only tried them rott and was really let down. Unlike CBD though I have yet to revisit and will take your advice and let them go a little longer now.

Boli Gold Medal. I think I paid something ridiculous like $70 a box for these back in the day. Wish I'd bought some more. One left, then they're gone.

One of my top 10 all time was a 1992 Gold Medal before they were discontinued in mid-90's. IIRC the new release about 7-8 years ago were very good also.

These were the second release, believe they were 2007, absolutely fantastic, always makes me wonder why they weren't continued.
