Anyone familiar with the LFDC line. A new size on sale this weekend and don't recall ever have any of their lines.

Have not had any in years. Smoked a few Petit Coronas and the old Selectos but those were short filler and I didn't care for the construction and they were mild in taste. The only others were machine mades. Are these new ones long filler?

Saw the email and checked in like maybe a hour later and they were all gone. Was intrigued, but not going to go hunting them down elsewhere. Think the only LFDC I've had was a RE someone gave me in a PIB or something (thought it was DED but maybe not).

$75 for 10 count box, robusto size

I can't find any info on them though to know if they are long or short filler.

Good price for long filler, super over priced if its short filler. Cuba being Cuba, its short filler.

2001 RyJ Churchill Tubo

Velvety smoke with sweet cedar and tea notes mellowed wood and still very enjoyable. The RyJ Churchill was the standard used to judge all others at the time.

I bought this box from a cigar BOTL when he downsized his stash in 2003 and smoked about one each year, gifted a few and am down to the last two petecas of three now.

The unique wood box was huge as it housed twenty-four cigars each in a silver aluminum tubo packaged in eight patecas of three. To make room in the humi I removed the patecas from the box and have stored them with the caps intact ever since.

^^ I'm really liking this little cigar.

Peppery and spicy but not too much.

The spice has a nice zing to it, sorta like if you ever had pumpkin pie with too much clove in it and your mouth gets a little numb.
I don't taste clove, but it has that kinda feel.

Small cigars like this are usually rolled too tight, but this has a perfect draw and puts out some copious smoke for it's size.

It has some strength to it too, I can feel it...

Very nice!

When it gets too small to smoke, I might just eat the nub..

Was pretty good, have to check again but think mine was Tao dic 17

Monte petite 2
From recent split but surprisingly good, little green but not all the way through. Have to say I expected less from this one and was surprised.

Cuaba Distinguido 17 - great flavor, but this is the first one I've had that is underfilled. Cuban crush rectified that, but still annoying.

Partagas Serie D no. 6 - I can see why these don't sell well, you're not getting a shorter no. 4 at a bad price, you're getting an inferior cigar at a bad price. Hopefully these will get better with additional down time.

Smoked a RyJ churchill and it was plugged. Again. I don't have extensive experience with them, but I've probably smoked, or tried to smoke, 10 churchills over the years, and they have almost all been plugged. The last one was a Bolivar a few months ago. Is it just me? Bad luck, or is the QC that bad with these?

Maybe it's you? I don't know of any churchill made by Bolivar ever. There was a Bolivar Gigantes but those were discontinued about three years ago.

It may have been a gigante, not sure, it was the size of a churchill. It was also old, probably at least 13 yo.

I was looking at a box of these, would you recommend? I know they’re not the Fundador, but other than that, pretty good?

Yes, but the code will not help unless you have the secret decoder ring.

yes, I would recommend the Coloniales...

it's a petit corona size, 5 1/4 " x 44, so it's short smoke compared to the Fundador, which is a 7 1/2 " x 40 lancero...sometimes I just want a longer smoke...

similar flavor profiles, but the lancero is a little stronger...

if you like the Fundador, you'll like the Coloniales...

Very good, last 2 Montes I have smoked are erasing my opinion of them being too inconsistant for price. Then again I need to burn through more to be sure.
