I had a Vegas Robaina Familiar yesterday while I watched my Niners get beat up by Denver.

It was small consolation, even as good as it was.

. Cuban cigars are made entirely out of Cuban tobacco.

Cuba imports about 30 % of their tobacco. The cigars are rolled in Cuba, but many of them are not "cuban Puros".

Not the first time I've read this rumor but have yet to see credible evidence that it's indeed a fact.
Can you provide supporting evidence this statement is factual? If so, I would be very interested in seeing it.

Had one of those 'magic' HUHC's this morning. Seems to average only about two or three per box that are just incredible. Which is fine, because the other 22 are always great....but, its just like winning the lottery every so often.

I've burned through 6 boxes of Secretos and 6 boxes of Magicos this year already!

Which one did you get? Secretos, Magicos, or Genios?

As long as you enjoy it. That's really all that matters.

But for anyone else planning a vacation in DR....if you want to smoke a non-fake Cuban cigar there and not pay an extortionist.....bring your own. Shawnlylocks already bought the only 'cheap' one.

Educate you on what? You already said you know it was real.

However, the fact is that Cuban cigars...real Cuban cigars are very expensive in DR.

If you are anywhere in the Caribbean/Mexico and you buy a cigar outside of LCdH, it is fairly safe to assume it is not real....ESPECIALLY if it is cheap. Sorry. Guys from DR come HERE to buy Cuban cigars.

I'll go on the research I've done but that's exactly what I meant by educate. . Thanks for the input. I'll be sure to do more research. .. not trying to ruffle any feathers I am relativity new to cigars and you basically laughed at me then got condescending so I felt i had to defend myself. Again thanks for the input

^^ your gonna have to have get get some thicker skin if your gonna hang around here.

Second the reason dstieger "laughed" at you,(your words). There is no such thing as a cheap Cuban especially when it comes to Cohiba, when I went to Mexico earlier this year I paid right around 47 dollars for a maduro 5. There's tons of fakes out there that look so close to the real thing it's very hard to tell.

Did they come in a glass top box? Haha joking,

Guess I should post this here too: Montecristo #1. As I said in the azzhats thread, this is an oft-overlooked gem of a cigar.

Haha! Good luck with that although things should be fine. We went up to my in-laws for both of our kids but after a couple of weeks, I found it easier to go home to our apartment at night. Turnaround is fair play so now that our daughter is due soon (girl), they'll be staying with us for a few weeks after she gives birth.

'89 HdM du Prince previously from Buckwheats collection, smoked while I escaped into the wilderness to avoid my in-laws. 25 years old and still opens with blast of pepper and charred oak and finishes with cream and vanilla. Lotta legs still left on these guys.

I had a 4 year old monte #2 that was absolutely everything you could hope for in a cigar! a drastic improvement from the last time I smoked his brother at only a year old.
my partagas D 4's are my go to, love them and cant praise them enough or wait till they get some significant age to them before I smoke them all.
the paratgas P was good but I think to young at 8 months when I smoked it.
a BHK 54, hoping for more but still a amazing cigar.
cohiba siglo II and VI, the hazelnut flavor as I call it, takes me back every time I get to taste it.
the HU mag 50 was a flavorful smoke that I am glad to have the chance to smoke
hoyo epicure especial is quickly raising on my favorites list every time I smoke one.
the monte "A", oh dear god, great cigar but be prepared to smoke it for many hours. it took me almost 5 but that was due to cooking steaks and BSing with friends. 2-3 hours of dedication would be about right. but this has to be my favorite welcome home cigar I have ever smoked!

hopefully get some thanksgiving love and smoke a cohiba maduro or bolivar Belicosos Finos

This one . . .

http://www.cigarbid.com/...osts/643228/Interloper-

A Fonseca. Bit of a tight draw at first, but it opened up and had good flavor, but I can't say that it was any better than other cigars.

I had smoked a La Jugada Prieto earlier.. and it had an easy draw, lot of smoke and...wait for it... >> it had a cinnamony flavor. It was box worthy.
