"Hot and bothered" ... ?

I'd love to borrow your mind-reading cap when you're finished with it.

Are you familiar with the word PROJECTION? :)

Anyways, thanks for the link.

Cold and contented,

From a box split with Triodes / Ken back in 2014. Although I had either traded or gifted away 3 of them, this is the first one I'm smoking.

Thanks. It looks like you can't order directly from them, but they have recommended sites featured. One of them is cigarterminal - does that particular one carry genuine cubans?

Non bueno, Bonsey. Not supposed to list specific competitors on here, even if the competition is imagined due to current embargeos. Have to talk in code or leave that stuff in a pm

The reviews in that publication are well researched and as far as I know, accurate. Read them and you'll discover their method of separating the wheat from the shaft (pun intended). I've hypothetically purchased products from several of their approved sites and have theoretically been satisfied with each transaction. Others here have reported supposed satisfaction with those same sites. Smoke enough product from Cuba, and you can more accurately discern authenticity.

If you become an active member here and read member's posts about specific purchases and experiences and pay attention to the codes/names of helpful vendors dropped, you'll be rewarded. But finding the crumbs and nuggets require work, which you so far seem disinclined to do. Your questions also hint at timidity. Those two characteristics do not predict well for adventurous gain, which to me, is one of the joys of cigar smoking. But I'm no judge...

Another joy is broadening horizons and taking steps to try new stuff which feel right, based on individual circumstances, rather than just letting others drop stuff into your hands. No doubt there will be disappointments along the way...not every cigar I thought worthy of trying were great...many did not live up to the hype and reviews...some were worse than dog poop smells. But over the years, I've been satisfied with enough different cigars that I still am curious about offerings I have yet to try. Many of the cigars that were my faves when I started no longer rank among the elite and I've found other great cigars which may or may not earn a permanent place in my personal list of faves.

Finally, it has been very rewarding to listen and learn and trade cigars with those who have travelled the path for longer than I....I've learned from less experienced folks. Stick around and read what long time members like... jump in on the trades section. That's a great way to get new cigars to try and to build relationships with great BOTLs.

Yes I didn’t go all in. Seemed like the best deal to get 25 to be able to try some now, let some rest, and give to friends.

H Upmann Regalias 2001 (JM NISE) Surprisingly tasty after all these years. I got this box from Julian years ago when he liquidated his stash. I have tried most of the machine made Habanos at one time or another but these rival many of the hand rolled in their flavor and longevity.

The best Cuban experience I have ever had was a machine made and cellophane wrapped gifted to me by Chuckler. He said he bought them at an auction *from which I pressume they were pre-embargo). Wish I had saved the band. Wish he was still around on the boards too.

Cohoba Secretos Maduro LAU OCT 16 - very nice, but got distracted and had to relight twice.
Trinidad La Trova 19 - underfilled, was ok at times but had to do the cuban crush through the last half to make it smokeable. Have had a lot of issues with this particular vitola or at least this particular box, pretty bummed considering the price.

I have two empty box-like humidors (200-300 count). Yesterday, I opened one of the unused boxes and took the tray out. I found 30+ single Havanas of all makes, shapes and sizes- hard as a rock. Turns out I forgot about them because they were the part of my collection with torn and repaired wrappers, head damage and some in otherwise perfect condition that I just didn't like years ago, but are certainly worthy of another try. They are all 10-20+ years old by now. I have had good success rehabbing cigars that were dried out and dense like a stick of wood, like these are. They will never be 100% again, but I'll take whatever I get since nothing will require me to smoke them if I don't like them. Low and slow for about 3-4 months should do it. Any other advice?

Entire series, Tainos, are both great. LMK if you want to know where I used to find them years ago.

Beginning to enjoy these for what they are and are not. Mild-med with a unique taste. Pinar del Rio tobacco but different profile from others.

Start at the beginning. Smoke to the end.

Honestly I would have recommended Partagas or Bolivar. Others run the risk of being too mild for my tastes

PSD4, from Corey Sellers

month/year unknown but had just the right sponginess when pinched, great draw, that perfect type of strength for me.
Been a long time since I smoked one of these, it was perfect.
Thanks Corey.
