I saw that this cigar got a pretty high rating in Cigar Aficianado so I was interested in buying a couple to see how close CA was to the truth. I have tried everywhere but I can't find the damned things. Even J & R which is owned by Altadis and who makes R & J did not have it in stock, at least on their site. Can anyone help me? Sad

Here's a little help.

Take any of the ratings in CA (or any cigar magazine for that matter) with a grain of salt.

I generally avoid all things Altadis. However, I also generally try not to walk out of a B&M without buying at least ONE cigar. If I've stumbled into a General/Altadis-only type B&M, I'll usually pick up either a Brickhouse or a Romeo if they don't have higher end Fuentes. The Romeo is not complex, but the flavor is all Nic. It is a pretty decent single-dimension. Chewy and softly spicy.

Hey guys; all I'm asking is for someone to tell me where I can buy them and try 'em. I know CA sucks. Herfing

Google is your friend. Try typing romeo by romeo y julieta in the search engine box. Hit enter.

Alternatively, ask at your B&M.

I tried Googling as Abrignac suggested. The only site I could find them was at Mike's Cigars which, I believe, is down in Florida but sells online. The only problem is that they only list them, but don't list any price or a way to order them on their site. This seems to suggest that they are on order but haven't arrived. Any more suggestions???? Confused

My suggestion is to edit your post to remove competitor reference before you get hit with the timeout stick.

If you REALLY want them I can check my b&m but they price at msrp or above.

I do believe I saw them at my local a while back. ( BIG letters on the band ? )
I'll check.

Have you called CI? They'll do you a deal for internet-less cigars if you call them.

Still trying. I can understand the reluctance to mention C-Bid's competitors but let's face it--they exist. To date, I have not found a single competitor to match the deals at Cigars International, Cigar.com or C-Bid, which are one and the same for some ungodly reason. And no, I DON'T want to pay more than MSRP. I only look stupid. Herfing

Have one of these tucked away, pretty large Ring gauge so it will be a long enough smoke to get a good feel for how I like them. More than just a little curious after reading the posts looking to ash it this weekend,
RyJ has never really been a favorite other than CC Ed Limitada.

Wink Jespear sent me 5 of them and I tried them. I don't agree with CA on either their rating or description. In their defense, it may have been my palate that is suspect. I tried to PM jespear, thanking him for his generosity but his mail box is full, so I am doing it here. Thanx a lot for a generous and quite unexpected show of generosity.

Recently discovered these.

While not a terribly complex flavor profile, I find they are very well blended, smooth and fuller in strength.

I enjoy these almost as much as the JdN Antano 1970.

What ever happened to Qmpash ? I remember he went over to the tenski place and wrote some nice comments there. I hope he's not the Q from Q-anon.
