I can see how that would pair well. I'll have to give it a go.

Had a Fonseca Tawny Port tonight with my pipe.

Made it to Ledger David for my quarterly pick up so tasting:

2019 Viognier new release. More midrange than any previous release, complex white I may have to actually buy some!

2018 Epitome of Three (60%tempranillo 30%sangiovese 10% Syrah) a good blend and the only time I really love their Syrah.

2018 Malbec new release. Probably shouldn’t have had the chocolate I did before this......Lillie Belle Sunshine Daydream is a dark chocolate bar with buttermilk powder added during its processing. Chocolate was great as always, didn’t do this wine any favors though. To be fair I don’t really care for their Malbec in any release.

2018 Dark Knight a blend of Tempranillo, malbec, petite Verdot and Syrah. This is the big fancy brother of the Epitome of Three. Their petite Verdot is one of their prized varietals along with their cab franc.every once in a while they have enough to bottle some pure PV I got a few bottles at my last pick up (their 35 case production is long gone). MUCH deeper and more complex than the EO3. There’s a reason this is there best seller among wine club members.

I’m working on getting one more clone, the Heritage Disney Silverado clone FPS 30. It is one of three heritage clones from Napa and the only one from Stags Leap.

No alcohol wine 1 sip which was spit out. We tried it since Sandy has a taste for wine and junior has a bit to go. We both agreed not only was it horrible, but it did not resemble wine in any way. No booze till junior is born.

Which Walt? They make like 14 different Pinots.

(I was at Walt Wines in Healdsburg yesterday.)

Went to Grgich Hills, Silverado, and Quixote wineries this weekend in Napa. Just put a batch of 13 gallons of petit Syrah into fermentation.
