I like 'em. In fact I am smoking a black prince right now. What's your experience?

The Black Prince are excellent - thank you, Robert. And I just received a handful of Punch Punch a short while ago; in fact I enjoyed one a couple nights ago, and they are superb, especially given the price point. You can count me among their admirers!

Given the age of the bp how does the pp compare?

The PP compares very favorably, especially given it is basically ROTT. But the BP still has the edge; I find the flavor of the latter a bit amped compared to the former. Still nursing the couple I have left!

Drop the bp RH below 65 and smoke away. Mine are probably @55-60RH to accommodate the poor rolling years around 2000. Sucking instead of puffing is no fun. Anyhow, glad i turned you on to them!

Tried some from 98' 02' 08' 10' and never fell in lust with them but they weren't bad at all.

Actually a well aged Punch Punch is by and far my favorite Habano.Young the Punch line can be grassy and acrid.

I'd kill for some 98's......hell even 08's.Finding aged Punch Punch has become a real challenge.

I see some Punch cabs of 50 for $359. I would be up for a split of 1 or 2 cabs if you guys wanted to get some.

Punches are OK, but they are not good enough to justify their price. The few I have left have been relegated to yard gars.

OOps. missed the cc.

I don't know why but the Punch Punch from a cab(in the round)has always been better to me.I never really liked that slightly box pressed thing dress boxes do to them.May be just in my head but I swear they age better in a cab as well.

I have a box of '06 Punch DCs that are wonderful. Mild, but with a nice black cherry flavor I don't get from any other cigar. Got one of those Punch Punch cabs that pro mentioned coming. I'll report in if it ever shows up, but it sounds current run Punches are some of the best they have put out in a long time.

Always liked Punch Punch if aged a few years. I'm smoking from a box of Royal Selection #11 from '07 and they are the best Punch I have ever had.

Too bad the Black Princes are discontinued. The Punch Punch is a classic cigar.

Aged punch punch is a classic smoke. Black princes are phenomenal imo, if you can find them, their availability is severely limited at this point

I enjoy certain Punchs...
I bought 10? Of those "Tailgater" six packs over the last 2-3 years and a couple X-mas samplers...
My main complaint is..
That they burn....HOT in temperature a lot.
Way too common across their many lines...
Consistently hot.

Pretty certain those were different certain Punches...

I don't think the tailgater Punch company ever put out a Punch Punch like the other Punch 'company' did

^^^ WTH???
Translation?

They were Punchs....plain and simple...
It wasnt a P- squared six pack.
Just punchs.
Never heard of a "cc" and i missed it in the O.P.
Thread title...i thought the thread was all inclusive across total output...

Okay, quick review of a fresh Punch Punch out of a 50 cab GUT Sept 13, probably very similar to the ones some of you will may be receiving. Perhaps even from the same master case Angel

Appearance and construction: These are some of the nicest looking wrappers I have seen in a while. Smooth and glossy colorado claro, darker and a few more small veins than a cohiba would have, but still really pretty to look at. Fill on this one was generous, I didn't have a scale, but it felt a touch heavier than the mag46 and SLR A I had on hand (both are also CGs). It also burned longer than the mag46. Draw on this sample was spot on. Burn required a touch up mid way through. I attribute this to a stem in the binder. Overall, not perfect but very good.

Strength: It started out mild and built to a medium. For a marca named 'Punch' I always expect these to be stronger. They just aren't. I'm okay with that, but those looking for a strong cigar should look elsewhere. Nicaragua perhaps.

Flavor: This was a very sweet cigar with a heavy molasses flavor. Really bold even though the cigar itself was strong. I had a hard time putting my finger on the nuances. There was something vegetable about it, maybe an Anaheim pepper type quality. This maybe a sign that its still a little young. Also present where those hints of stone fruit you heard about in the marca. My 06 Punch DCs have a black cherry quality, this seemed more like a dried apricot, but hell if I really know.

Assessment: Very Good, but I think these will need a little age before they really shine. In a year or so I could see them improving remarkably. Glad I got enough to put some away for awhile. If I was going to buy one box of 2013 production to smoke now, I would probably go with the HdM epicure #2, but I don't think anyone would be disappointed with these.
