Use the friggen Chrome extension, for God's sake people! (Rant aimed at no one in particular.) I'm convinced that if CI notices an item keeps getting overbid on they raise the starting bids and increments. Our cbid "economy" is getting jacked by idiots causing unnecessary inflation.

Not buying these either.....just shocked that on past auctions people paid like $48 a cigar for these?! Makes $14.60 seem special!

Well pretty new to this site, I've used the Cigarbid a couple of times over the past couple of weeks, I don't know how the rest of the guys do it but normally if I am bidding on something I am not sure of the price I just highlight the text do a google search and then add "for sale" at the end and price check.

Can't own guns in the democratic people's republic of new joisey so why not overbid on ceegars?

That's a whole lotta 5.56 55 grain fmj or three 50ct boxes of mk 262 mod 1 shipped.

I'd seen these not too long ago close for just over $100.

Wrong on the gun statement. I hope that was just your attempt of humor at Jersey ( which by the way I will take anyday over your state). But hey , each his own.

"Wrong on the gun statement." I laugh at people who live in these states and think with all the regs on their books that guns aren't banned there when in fact a majority of them really are.

Notice the caliber I posted? 5.56 which is the round used in the ar-15, which to be sold in the garden state has to be effectively neutered. Owning a magazine with a capacity of more than 15 rounds is illegal. Law abiding citizens having their rights limited by government for the sole purpose of gaining control over them.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_New_Jersey

Thanks for posting. Have fun not owning the guns we legally own here in Kansas.

Owning several guns, I was well aware of your 5.56 insinuation. Yes we do have strict gun laws, ( that I don't agree with) but you have to work with what you got. Overall I'll still take Jersey over most other states for the opportunities it offers.

Oh yeah, enjoy Kansas!
That's it for me as this is an overbid thread!

Indeed, sorry for the sidetrack. My original comment was sarcastic in nature.

If you're ever through Kansas. Look me up we'll go bang some steel with 30 count mags. Cigars will be burned too of course. Herfing

Will do. Would love to shoot off a 30 count mag. I will bring plenty of six to torch. Hopefully we will be able to loosen up our laws soon!

Back to overbids.

I've had a couple, but @ $179.00 for a fiver seems a bit steep.

Not sure how seeing the current sale price from every online site is doing it wrong. but I'll check it out.

Take the La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico for example a box everywhere is $180-185 but I found one site that had them for 169.99 so best online price was 170 with free shipping. now Cbid had a good starting bid price and a QB for 149.50. once the bid was within $6.00 of the QB it did not make sense to bid. so I did the QB. the other box went for $166 that guy wasted $15.00 and probably broke even if he would have just highlighted the text and did a quick search. it's literally a mouse click to use the google search function.

If they go for less on here most of the time how good is your deal? If you could get them for $70 if you wait a couple weeks? You have watch and see what they usually go for, like stocks some days they are high some days they are low. or the FOGs will just laugh all the way to the bank.

I've said too much d'oh!

While they're annoying, I suppose it's donkeys like them that keep CBid going...after all, if CI wasn't making money off this site, it'd be long gone.

$39 bid, $37.50 at the mothership. Must be rewarding to go through all that bidding just to pay retail:

Nice cigar, though. At least he's not overpaying for crap.

Except that is not at all what is meant by Overbid for the purposes of this thread, as is discussed at length above
