You have just won the overbidding idiot of the year award!

Not necessarily! As of this post there is still 3 hours 45 min to go! Still time to beat CG out.

If CG DOES win, I am not that far from Troy, Mo. Think I should stop by to congratulate him? Anxious

Absolutely !! ... he might invite you to share in the bounty and gift you one of his prized (and expensive) LaPerlas ...

and look on the bright side ... in order for there to be good deals here (which we are each searching for) SOMEONE has to overpay in order to balance the scales ... guys like CG are to be treasured, not mocked ...

Well, if they read the forum, then they wouldn't overbid.

So mocking is of no consequence, carry on.

I don't think the rules prohibit idiots, fools, or morons from bidding. Or to be PC should I say mentally challenged?

http://www.cigarbid.com/...ia-gold-torpedo-single/ I didn't have to check the CI price to know this was an overbid.

The CI price itself is, IMO, an overbid ... and THIS is 4X the CI price ... yeah, I'd say it qualifies ...
The bidder in this instance has made a colossal mistake and the tears are gonna flow when he discovers what he's done.

On further reflection, maybe a little TOO crazy. Yes this thread is a testament to the stupidity and fallibility of mortal man.

But THIS stupid? At THAT price? For THAT quantity?

On reflection I'm finding it harder to believe that even a stupid human could be mistaken on that scale. They would almost have to be as dumb as . . .

a . . .

robot . . .

But maybe it's just me.

Unlikely cbid would waste a bot on something this small... more than likely the auction started off as a 5 pack of Fuentes and they just changed the title, picture, and description after this poor schmuck had his bid in...

So is it an overbid if the bidder is mislead by the title? http://www.cigarbid.com/...-sam-robusto-box-of-20/
Box of Mr. Sam? or 5'er of Mr Sam or 5'er of Soleares?

I actually bid the max that I could on that one yesterday....I think it maxed around $45...and saved a screen-shot.....I feel robbed that they increased the max.....maybe I'll keep trying

I might have overpaid for something... but it just felt like a good deal, so I bought it.

And there are no Mr. Sam auctions in the search anymore....even though the link I copied still says Mr. Sam and directs you to 5'er of Fonseca. Is this a game or bots gone wild?

What will you end up getting? ......after irate customer/company negotiations to straighten it out. Too much work. I decided to steer clear of this one.

I think it would be harder to design a system where two different items are inputed into one listing or to have the listing change randomly during the auction, than it would to get it right in the beginning. Go figure.

So who is on the committee for the Overbidding Idiot of the Year Award? If annual what are the dates of the contest? I think we should set up an award where we award the winner as many dog rockets and yard cigars that we can and send them to the guy or girl with a plaque honoring their achievement.......

Do we give Cbid an honorary award for listing titles that don't match descriptions and then change the listing two or three times during bidding? Do we call it the Facilitator Award?

Lol.. I saw that this morning.. You best believe I bidded on a few. Customer service sent me an apology email and offered to retract the bid.. I kept it because I actually want the correct cigars. There are a few incorrect on here. I did get lucky and scored a nice premium one for the price of a rocketdog. I guess it was too late to make the change. It guess it pays off to be a night owl.
