I'm generally a fan of Habano wrappers, after Connecticut.

Tge Odysseys were ok, but felt like the blend wasn't quite right. Tasted like it belonged in the $2 category.

My OR Genesis are being weird. Several months back I opened my half box from about a year n a half ago and they're almost dripping with oils, even seeping through the cellophane and sticky to the touch. Very fragrant cedar aroma on them. Very heavy cedar spice flavor when smoked too. Not sure if its from the box or the cigars. Has this happened to anyone else? I've not seen that with any others, but my experience is limited.

Got a fiver of habano.........There seem to be mixed opinions on putting a little age on them or not............I'll have to think about it.

hmm.........
Most of mine (100+) are stored "loose" in various ventilated trays (plastic or cedar) in my cooler.
I have a "no scent" policy with boxes.
When a box comes in, I remove all the cigars and check them out.
Then I do the "sniff" test......and if I get ANY weird aroma, whatsoever, that box doesn't make it into my cooler......cigars are moved to various trays. Less than 1/2 of the boxes I get pass the sniff test.
Some boxes still reek of lacquer, others just don't smell right, wood is too wet, etc.
I have one box of Toros from May, 2014 buried deep in the cooler........I'll check it out soon and report back.

The aroma coming off my Genesis (in the trays) is amazing. Very sweet citrus aroma on the body of the cigar, with a rich, somewhat musky tobacco/barnyard scent from the foot. No oil seeping, and no heavy cedar aroma or cedar flavor when smoking. And they are smoking very nicely.

All my Genesis/Habano boxes have a strong cedar smell.

With that said, I like the cedar smell, so of the cigars I unloaded into trays, I'm keeping the boxes around to store randoms in.

I've smelled a few other boxes, they aren't any stronger than a Fuente box.

Both these have quickly become one of my goto road smokes and occasionally a golfing smoke. They're not quite back porch with whiskey level, but they're good for the price you can get them here.

If I had to pay anywhere near retail for them, I wouldn't buy them, because there's other smokes I'd rather smoke at that price point, but on auction for ~$2.00 a piece, they're great.

Yep all my Bueso boxes have a very stout cedar aroma to them. It seems pleasant enough so into the cooler they went.

I've got one box of genesis robustos that will hit the year mark in November. Might have to peak inside tonight to see what they look like. I'll post back with what I find.

****Edit**** I opened up the November '14 box and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. The other box of projects is still sealed and so is the box of habanos. About time to see what these habanos are like after reading the mixed reviews on here.

Having another Habano this evening. Same excellent flavor as before. Salty to start.. Bit of an uneven burn issue halfway through. Hoping to see these on a free shipping special soon.
