Got some new ones. Gonna see how the age before I drop the hammer though. 15 left in her box. Nobody is smoking them. I kinda have them hidden lol!

Cupido. That cigar tasted like smoking a milk shake.

They stopped making them about 10 years ago and I still have about 10 -15 in my humidor. Herfing

OP hit one one I'd forgotten: Sol Cubano maduro. Those, and CI Anniversary, were two of the greatest cigar bargains anywhere (at cbid prices).

Oh yeah! The CI Anniversary was delicious! Forgot about that one. I think my son smoked my last one a year or so ago. :(

I'll probably be laughed out of the forum for this one - and it might be considered a competitor reference, except the company is long defunct - but I used to buy Wally Frank Gourmets by the box, and whenever I was out with a crowd - in the days when you could actually smoke in bars, restaurants, etc - people invariably approached me asking, "That cigar smells great! What is it?" My palate has probably grown a bit since then though.

I used to get that with Hav-a-Tampa Jewels about 30 years ago but my tastes changed to real tobacco.

I'm with Dave on the CI Anni.'s, I smoked a LOT of those. Never got tired of the creamy flavor. I also miss the original Camacho Corojo line, an all-time favorite. Perdomo made a rosado wrapped mini-torpedo years ago that was sold by a local B&M in their Father & Son line. Only lasted a short time but that was the most fantastic bundle bargain cigar I've ever come across. Really a hidden and much missed gem. Another small production line of cigars was by a little company out of MD (I think?) named Golden Gator. That's right. I only had a few, sent to me by a guy in one of the original cigar list-serve groups, A.S.C....anyone remember that? Those Golden Gators, at least the toros I smoked, were surprisingly tasty but the owner of the brand never really got them off the ground. Pity.
Memories....lol!

I'm guessing by her " stopped making them 10 yrs ago " reference she meant Criollo ( still have approx. a fiver hiding somewhere )

I agree with Hoyodude about the OR Camacho Corojo. Was recently gifted one from Shaun341 as part of the 2016CAT. Saving it for a very special occasion.

I think Cupido stopped production of EVERYTHING about 10 years ago, but a competitor revived the brand.
I have only smoked ONE OR Tuxedo, and TWO OR Criollos, ( all three were gifts from Buddha Daddy).
We all know how popular the re-release of the Tuxedos are around these parts, and I just got in a box of the Criollos a few weeks ago. Smoked one immediately, and it was not bad at all. Will re-visit them in the fall, after they've rested for a while.

Series 300 by Leon Jimenes, especially the corona.
managed to get a couple boxes of the robbies near the end of availability, and they were good, but not as good.

Creamy, vanilla...IIRC Hoyodude told me about them a few years back.

damn, Frank, I'd almost forgotten about those. That little corona was one of the tastiest cigars and, while the supply lasted, were very inexpensive. I wish I still had some of those...

Just going by what I’ve smoked
All the Cuban Lonsdales and Coronas (H. Upmann, Partagás, Bolívar, Cohiba, etc…).
Specifically the entire Partagás Serie du Connaisseur line and the Vegas Robaina Clásicos and the 5th Avenue 15th Anniversary Edition Germany Robusto Extra.

I'm not really sure why they dropped so many of the lonsdales and coronas as they were generally the best cigars from most of the brands. fog

I'm going to guess it was likely for financial reasons. They're harder to roll and need a more skilled rolling team, and then they sell less of them. Whereas some of the larger cigars have better margins and they sell more of them. If I were in Altadis SA's place as the money behind Habanos/Cubatobacco, I'd probably trim the portfolio too.

Me too! And I'll add the RyJ Reserve Maduro mini belicoso.

I only have 3 or 4 left, and I can't find them anymore, so I guess they stopped making that size, which is mystifying because it was the best for that line. I like the coronas too, but they're not as good as those little box-pressed belicosos.

Anybody have any for trade?

one point to add here is that since it is impossible to recreate the actual flavors of a specific cigar, even though it is made with the same type of tobacco, each year's crop of those specific tobaccos may have subtle to significant flavor disparities. One example is the Crowned Heads Las Calaveras, an excellent cigar most years it has been produced...but each year has been slightly different tasting...IMHO the 2014, its first year of production, was the best, and each year I keep hoping...

Even if Room 101 decides to make the Chief Cool Arrow again, it won't be the same...that's why Fuente's Hemingway lines are so remarkable...they seem so consistent year after year...Thunder Gerbil explained that the "consistency" is an illusion...Fuente uses leaves from a few years, ie leaves from the last year and the year before, when they make each year's batch to make it seem the same...

Fiddler, they're still being made, they just go on hiatus from time to time. Some recent production showed up a few weeks ago on the friendly-to-cuban-cigars sites 24:24 sale.
