Allrighty folks lets get this party started!!

It is time for the "Official" Start to this year's festivities.

As many of y'all know Operation From the Heart is a nonprofit orginization that sends care packages to our soldiers serving abroad. OpFTH is 100% donation driven, when the donations stop Bill and the other agents fund our shipping costs out of our own pockets.

All donations go the Operation from The Heart shipping fund!

Here are the "General" rules

Once again this year is all about shipping funds as Smitty informed me that the OpFTH account is basically EMPTY

This year's goal is a minimum of, NOPE, not this year. I know that all will give till they bleed and we don't need the added pressure of a goal.

YOU CAN PLEDGE ANY AMOUNT!
Here is how you can make your contribution.

Personal or Certified check, or money order.(Send to schmitty)

OpFTH
29456 Groesbeck Hwy
Roseville MI 48066

Cigar donations can be sent to

schmitty (at the same address above)

please be sure to add a note with your CBid handle, # of cigars and that this is for the C-A-T if sending cigars (will make verification much easier)

Instant, Secure, online contributions VIA Paypal VIA Credit Card on the OpFTH website!

www.opfth.org
Click on the Paypal or JustGive Logo’s on the left hand side of the page.
WE prefer PAYPAL, you get an instant receipt for tax purposes!

or goto Paypal and send money to [email protected] if that is easier for you Techies

Paypal is the prefered method (DO NOT list Cigars or Cigar Bid anywhere in the donation...Title donations "C-A-T 2015" Email your confirmation receipt to Mikey1597 (email to be provided later)

Prizes determined based on random draws

Tentatively only one prize per donater (this could change though) and just because a donation is made does not guarantee winning a prize.

Fund raiser will run through July 4th weekend. Prize drawings will take place a few days later, Donations MUST be confirmed to be eligible.

The Prize Structure will follow shortly

No prize tiers this year and while there is no "minimum" donation amount please remember that we are talking about cigar prizes that for the most part are worth at least $50 and much more considering all the Full boxes of smokes being offered.

Each box cost roughly $15 to ship. That is as easy as winning one less fiver this month, or sending one less PIB/Trade/RAOK etc

Now just a few bits of FYI

OpFTH is a 501(c) Non-profit
None of the Agents or Directors take a salary, we are 100% volunteer
The main office (smitty22 in Roseville MI) spends roughly $500 a month in shipping give or take.
close to 80% of OpFTH's shipping funds come from the fine B/SOTL here on CBid
The annual 4th of July C-A-T accounts for roughly 60% of the Annual funds used each year
Right now There is very little funds in the OpFTH account, which means smitty self funds shipping cost until more funds come in.
As long as there are Soldiers fighting abroad OpFTH will continue to send packages
There are currently about 20 on our shipping list

If you know of someone serving over there, please get me their APO and expected ship home month (as best as OPSEC rules allow) and I will get them added to the shipping list

And as always I extend my, Bill and the rest of the OpFTH family's MANY THANKS to ALL that continue to donate and allow us to keep sending as many packages as possible to those Soldiers that are risking their lives for our better good.

and finally here are some links to help

on facebook
https://www.facebook.com/opfth?fref=ts

on Crowdrise
https://www.crowdrise.com/OperationFromtheHeart

Cafe Press (link through and buy OpFTH themed goods)
http://www.opfth.com/

Good Search (search engine that donates for every search to the charity you choose, and also has many online partners that donate for purchases)
http://www.goodsearch.com/

And as always...THANK YOU for your continued support of OpFTH

disclaimer, I, Mikey, am not an agent of OpFTH. Todd usually throws this party but he is unable to do so but it needs to happen so I volunteer, not that I do much other than get this started and keep track of the prize donations and drawing.

Thank You

I'm in for a cigar box guitar and hitchhikers. Custom builds within my skills (modest at best) welcomed or I can make my standard Padron electro-acoustic gitty for the winner.

My apologies Mikey for not reading all of the above.
As I've done in previous years I sincerely donate a U.S. commemorative silver coin with a 5'er to the cause. No prize to be returned.

Mikey,
I will be flying a combat mission on the 3rd which will become the 4th of July while flying. I plan to fly two flags. When given the winners, I will send off the flags along with a certificate stating the where, when, and what of the flag with their name on the certificate. I am very happy to be doing this, this online group of folks has been awesome to me and my guys.

oh my

BUT

Lets don't forget the reason for this fundraiser is for the troops. Donations of money to send a little luv from home and cigars to take their minds off of what they are doing and where they are is the real reason this happens every year.

As I've stated before, monthly pledge donations are easy.
They don't break the bank. They guarantee OpFTH a steady monthly income, and at the end of the year, (July 2016), it adds up to a sizable donation on your part.
PLEASE consider making a monthly pledge.
I can't believe ANYONE cannot afford at LEAST $5 a month to help this great cause.

I will pledge $20 a month once again this year . . . and as usual, donate a "spearprize" to the drawing.

Did I mention that monthly pledge donations are easy.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Smitty and everyone at OpFTH for all their hard work and dedication.
And to Mikey for organizing this fund raiser once again this year.

It is as easy as Jespear says. - and it is for a great cause run by outstanding people.

I do not want to be included in any prizes - its all for the troops.

I will send a prize package of a 5'er of assorted CC's with at least 3 Monte#2's in the mix. Just let me know who the winner is and I will take care of the rest
