Sometimes even a good cigar needs a little touch up to even things out. What I found is if I put my bottom lip over most of the cigar and draw like normal this seems to make the cigar burn towards the area that needs to be touched up. Rotate the area that needs touched up to 12 o'clock and then draw on the cigar like I described above.

Most of the time this seems to straighten up the burn line within less than a minute.

Just a noop but Id never seen this posted anywhere before.

Post a video.
Or just send it to ZRX. He'll know what to do.

Just purge the cigar with the area that needs touched up on the bottom.......Works like a charm.

Wouldn't it work better on top? Assuming that the purge is sending more oxygen to stoke the coal and heat rises. Maybe both techniques are all about making coal hotter...like a hot burning campfire vs one not tended to.

That's what one would think, tampom. Have read before what Ron is preaching & do believe it works. You don't even have to do anything special with your lips.

BTW, gheyest thread of the year contender, not that there's anything wrong with that.

IIRC it was the gerbil. The smoke rises out the top & air enters from the bottom helping the combustion there.

More oxygen on the bottom side to get it burning while purging.Do not do anything out of the ordinary with your lips............unless you're purging Z's cigar.According to Vic he likes your lower lip wrapped up around his sack.

No. I like the tongue on my sack, would you get it right for once? This is why I told you you were doing a terrible job and weren't going to get paid your $20 for it.

I was taught that when they "canoe" and you don't want to dress with a lighter turn the longer side to the bottom as the burn is hotter there then on the top. If its not too bad they self-correct.
Sounded incorrect but then thought about cooking over a fire, hotter near the bottom.

Works for me.

Well... good to see you've settled on your price. You're still not getting it with that poor technique.

++

I do this fairly regularly. Due to medical difficulties, I can't use a lighter. The folks who assist me rarely get a good light. I find most cigars will straighten out quickly.

I was talking about cigars. I guess you are more interested in pole smoking. What method DO you use?
