It's that time of year folks, when your friends who only smoke when you do gather around the Mooch-a-Dor (The humidor you keep in plain sight, with your junk in it while your real humidor is in hiding). Now while I'm always slightly irritated with those guys, Im also a gracious host.

I need some suggestions for maybe a bundle or a few cigars that aren't dog rockets, but aren't top shelf either. I like these guys, but only so much.

Im looking at Fumas and 2nds right now, but am open to suggestions for whatever.

Gran Habano (anything) can be had here for cheap. Expensive looking and smokeable in a pinch.

Had a horde descend on me at my 4th of July party. Luckily I was smart, and only had my 3 finger case on me at the time so I could play the "Sorry guys, I've only got these on me" card. Meanwhile 20 yards away in my office in the house was a humidor with 40 nice cigars in it.

I am the king of lies.

Hey now, I've enjoyed my brief time here. I'm planning on sticking around. I may not post religiously but my home PC is busted until I go get a soldering iron, so I can only poke around on here at work.

Nice to meet you too, Whistlebritches.

Raymon bueso odyssey and genesis the project can be had pretty cheap by the box. Also can get some mow or ave marias for 3 buck or less a stick. Those are what i give my mooches. Also i bought a bunch of infused crap and gurkhas before i knew any better so those are mooch sticks now too. And 5 vegas... all but the AAA have been fail.

On a high note look at me cause the first "premo" boxes ive bought for myself came in yesterday! Anejo 46 and woam!!!

These are cheap on cbid and have a sexy wrapper. Wrapper is like mooch power bait.

They don't taste bad either.

+1 on the Bahia line. Especially the maduros. You can get them for well under $2 a sticks and they are very smokable

Keep a wide variety in your mooch a dor but take the labels off the good stuff and hand write the name on cello with magic marker. The people who appreciate a good cigar will pick the plain name over a fancy label like the prizefighter. Like indiana jones and the holy grail. This is assuming your intent is to not waste a good cigar but be willing to share otherwise.

The Gran Habano Vintage 2002 can be gotten pretty cheap. Not a bad smoke all in all. It burns pretty well, so good for the inexperienced smoker and looks impressive with the cedar sleeve.

EDIT. Wow one click and posted 7 times! One way to get the post count up!

The U.S. Constitution forbids cruel or unusual punishment. The Punisher delivers both with the first puff.

Shame on you

I smoke them as a replacement for my Diablo Picante's which no longer exist.

Diablo Picantes were a mild smoke, how do they compare to a punisher?

They were medium-full. Sumatra wrapper and Nicaraguan filler.

I went through at least 10 boxes of them, 7-8 yrs ago. I found them to be more mild than medium, something to smoke with coffee.

I have so few friends who smoke cigars, I am happy to share. I do not offer junk cigars because I am always thinking that it is our job to introduce folks to the hobby so they don't have a bad experience and want to try more. I keep good but cheap cigars so I don't care if someone wastes it.....A mooch friend of mine will smoke my cigars but then buy the beer. This guy I have gradually introduced him to maduro, sungrown and other variations. He just graduated to buying a box of some he liked and is now getting serious about keeping his humidor in proper condition.

go to the

"2 fer" of
Cest Le Vie Naturals (40 sticks total)
$29.95 when on sale
$34 or $39?? off sale

2 bundles of 20 toros, connecticut wrapper, mild
great for moochers....
they burn weird sometimes though...

+1 on the AAA. Enjoyed that one, but peppery. Supposed to be an AJF, but you know how that goes... The Miami wasn't bad at all, but it's a real Gran Habano.
I would rather have a Gurkha or even a Hesitant Pirate before trying the Gold one again...

Don't do that- the reason they burn weird it that they sometimes have weird non-tobacco ingredients. I found a piece of tarp in one that was smelling funny.

I would go with the Nicaraguan 2nds sold by both the mothership and cbid. Reposados is also a good choice but you usually have to buy them in bundles of 30 at the mothership. You can get lesser quantities from time to time at cbid.

Watch out if they get past the first few puffs it is a darn good cigar with chilli or chips and hot sauce. I have a few friends who crave em.

You're right Zero, Cask Strength are good too, and the "High Primings" might be good for your mooch-a-dor (which is a really good idea BTW).

Also, just tried a Jesus Fuego Corojo Oscuro. About the same price at the mothership as a 5 Vegas. Pretty stout and not bad!

There is a daily cigar deal going on today. Not at the Mothership but at that, you know, other Web site owned by the same people that own the mothership. Anyway they have a deal on some Gran Habanos which would make good moochies AND that gives free shipping if ordering something for yourself.
