Gimped up for a few weeks

I am sadly gimped and doped up for a few weeks because of an Achilles tendon repair I just had done. So, as I sit in my recliner bored to tears, I have been watching a ton of the auctions looking for the new, interesting, or harder to find things to sample. I think I have made a few drug induced bids as well. If anyone has any recommendations, or is interested in trading to some sample sticks to help a brother out I would appreciate it =d>

I'll pass.

I'll give you credit though, that's a major league mooch for someone here just 5 weeks. As an Occupational Safety and Health Director, you should be in a great position to write a professional, convincing comp claim. Stick it to them and win more auctions.

1). Introduce yourself.
2). Build some credibility by doing some noob trades.
3). If not interested in 1 and 2 go away.

The pills are good, not trying to mooch, just trying to participate here, get some varying opinions, and pass the time. Sincerely was looking for opinions or to trade a few. No Intention of being a mooch thread, sorry if that is all you folks gravitated to or took away from the initial posat, was kind of kidding about that knowing I am a new guy to the forum and none of you have any reason to offer me anything. I'be nixed that from the post as I don't want anyone thinking I am just looking for something for nothing from anyone here.

Lost me when he asked for donations. Not that I'm not generous, but asking for someone to donate to you having been here about a month and have done little to become a part of the community??????

I'm not averse to sending gift packs, but I prefer to do it on my terms. Seems a bit odd when you're asked for it.

When I send a 5'er, it's because I feel like it. Period.

Don't get scared away, new guy... just join the fray, and have thick skin.

Well, truth be told, he's been here more than 4 months... has been to a herf or two (bought me a beer, so he's already increased in my estimation), and just switched names due to a glitch in the old account.

MACS, thanks for the advice.

Sarcasm I am a bit surprised folks would just pick that out of the post and get their panties in a wad. Easy ladies, it was meant more sarcastically than literally. I did ask for recommendations or a possible trade, which I would still like to discuss. I can see how it may have read differently then intended, so my bad, I wont make that mistake again ram27bat

So, back on the original topic, any recommendations for some new great thing you guys have discovered?

I just tried my first Olivia G series toro. I had heard a few people discuss these so I had a few resting in the humidor that I picked up at the local shop prior to surgery. A very nice, relaxing smoke, that I thought was extremely full of mild, creamy flavor. Burned very even and took about 45 min to smoke 2/3 of it. I had to save the nub for later

Seriously? Maybe my fog eyes are deceiving me but, coming from someone who's been here a little over a year and with a whopping 7 posts, all in the last 17 days, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?

I seldom, if ever, jump in on these "popcorn" threads, but I couldn't keep my big yap shut on this one.

That is all, as you were.

Sorry, Sparky, but I wasn't the one lecturing others on how to "conform or GTFO."

Maybe before opening your big yap to issue a pithy saying like "the pot calling the kettle black," you might consider whether you're even aware what the phrase means?

Post #11 I said I edited it out, because of the $hitstorm that ensued. Some of you horse much? Even after explaining that I had no disillusion or expectation from anyone for anything other than discussion and possibly a trade, let it go.

No reason to be pissy towards each other over a single comment that has been retracted and an explanation offered. Heck, if could coulld buy ya'll a beer to make up for all the negativity that ensued, I would Beer

TheSmokensip, thanks, this is my second surgery on this Achilles in last two years. I hope they got it right this time. I hope you are doing well after yours, 4 in six months must have been horrible!

After all the above activity over the comment, I appreciate the gesture, but I dont want anyone to think I was really after something for nothing. I will PM you and return the favor with a select 5'er from my hummi as well.

Attaboy... keep on keepin' on.

I got hazed a bit when I first got here, and I recall a little sh*storm with a fog from the past who has since become a very good friend... Slimboli. He doesn't post here much any more, but he was the forum police back in the day and gave me a ration of crap for whatever I did wrong (wrong forum, stupid questions, whatever) and I gave it right back, both barrels...

Like I said, have some thick skin, and don't back down if you think you're right.

You edited and explained... if that ain't good enough... eff 'em.
