Well the post office just screwed up my delivery . Despite Cbid having the address correct, the package was (using the post office supervisor's own term) "mis-thrown." That means instead of being tossed into the bin for MY address at "####side Street" it went into the bin for "####dale" street.

Double bad was that the carrier on the "dale" route is brand new and didn't read the package to notice the mistake, so when there was NO 1234 "####DALE" instead of seeing the package was really supposed to go to 1234 ####SIDE (or maybe not even knowing there WAS a ####side ) he marked it as "undeliverable to that address" and had it sent to be returned to Cbid!

Post office trying now to intercept the package but no word yet.

Meanwhile I call up cCbid to let them know what is up and - lo and behold - I get Shauna! I asked if she was THE Shauna from the board and she was! She is very nice and has my account marked so that if the shipment gets returned they will first call me up (since may be outof town) and then will re-ship a FRESH order since the original cigars are going be messed up if they are in the heat we have been having in the back of a truck especially with no humidification for would will likely be a total of couple of weeks.

Shauna was great to talk to and I let her know who I was online. Said she liked the blendlab reports.

Big cheer for Shauna, big boo for the post office.

Shauna is excellent and she will do everything in her power to make sure that we are taken care of. She has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with when others have been the opposite. Been shopping strictly on Cbid for 2 years on this and another account. Kudos to you Shauna and keep up the wonderful job that you do on a daily basis.

Glad I could help Don! Give me a call or shoot me an email if the post office doesn't or can't intercept the package.

Your blendlab reports are great, thorough and very detailed. Are you trying them all?

Again, thank you for your kind words.

The Saga continues....

Well after making it Indy, the cigars then made a U-turn and finally got delivered to me. BUT they had been bouncing around in the hot trucks with no humi for 10 days and you could sure tell. I took several out of the cello to inspect and put all in the humi right away but there was severe flaking and unraveling on several of them. Did try to light up one of them up after resting 48 hours, but it pretty much exploded! What I was able to smoke as it fell apart (QC-652) WAS pretty tasty though!

Anyway, Cbid is sending me a replacement order (they have everything in stock) and it was insured so they should get their money back if they make a claim. Great customer service from C-Bid!!!

Here is what a week and a half in 90-100 degree heat in back of a USPS truck can do - so sad!!

Summer deliveries are always dicey.........but it is great that cbid will make it good. Someone said in the summer you have enough ambient humidity but I bet the relative humidity is way down in a 100 degree truck.

It WAS the hottest week we had had in our area all summer. I bet big fluctuations in humi also play a toll. I can imagine going from way low like it was here to way high (if went through a rainstorm) and back again (combined with the temp) is not good.

Can't say enough about how good C-bid has been.

I've had better cigars survive worse. More evidence that Blendlab is a sucker's game.
