Ok, so on the general board there is generally a league that is the "officia"l(translate elitist) league.


This is not that.


This is the n00b league. We've done it the last couple of years. I think Let's rock was the comish last year. Since he has yet to post up anything, I thought I would.

I am volunteering to comish the league again this year. I did it last year, and Ron before me so it can't be that hard. . .


I am thinking a 10 cigar buy in, for a 12 team standard league. But, I am open to suggestions. No dog rockets, but elitist cigars are not required. The idea is to have some fun, talk some trash and send out a bunch of cigars in the end.

Let me know if you are interested and we will start working out the details.

Live online draft I assume? As long as I know in advance most evenings should work.

Yes, this is the amateur league. The one where they have to cop the name off the REAL CBID league because they have almost zero chance of ever getting into it.


Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...unless it's done by this crowd.

Try to come up with something original...doubt you can but at least try!

Because I know the answer I'm going to get when I do. The funny thing is he actually thinks someone in this tread gives a chit what he says.

He loves to play the big bad bully. And I think its funny, so I create an environment where he can. The really funny thing is he thinks he is controlling in this, and the whole time I just pull the puppet strings. . .

You think I'm begging? I made 1 post, with a sign up list. I have a feeling, I'm going to have no issue reaching 12. Especially if you keep topping the thread for me.

Last year you guys had multiple threads looking to get enough players. Heck, I remember some were even offering to pay the buy ins just to get enough guys to put up with your loud mouth. . .

I was interested in the Official league last year but when I asked what was considered a good ante for the league I was told to **** off basically so I guess my smokes were not good enough for snobs. I will stick with this league where people have fun and it is not a pecker measuring contest.

By the way I 2nd SDeves new name for the league

I can't believe we can't find 3 more players. The winning smokes from last year were stellar plus I drafted blindfolded and still won.

no idea. Generally there's some posts on the general board, but I haven't seen anything. Honestly, I just want to get a group together and play for decent sticks(don't want to have to worry if I'm elitist enough or not. . . )

If it comes together, great. If not, we'll find something else. . .

Sorry, Im a regular cbid buyer but I never really come to this forum. Waiting in line for my lunch carryout now and thinking I should come in and check it out, then i saw this post.

I like this fantasy football for stogies idea and I'd like to join if possible. If not, I'll understand because no one really know me here.
