Im finally thinking about upgrading from cob to a "proper pipe" but I need some advice. I know I like a Bent Billiard, and am running into the issue where I cant find a pipe I like aesthetically without going crazy.

Looking for something smooth, and either completely neutral in color (Black/Brown) some something with a bunch of contrast (like the Butz-Choquin's and Tsuge's seem).

I have my two tobaccos I like, and am working on building up a pipe tobacco collection, but I need some upgrade suggestions for my hardware.

Take your time to shop around unless you want to end up with lots of unused pipes laying around in the future. I'm fond of Peterson, and with their vast selection, you will most likely find what you're looking for with them.
If you're shopping at a B&M, remember looks aren't everything. Use a clean pipe cleaner to check the line up of the drill hole, especially on a bent billiard. A pipe can look amazing, but if it draws poorly or is a pain to clean, you won't be enjoying it for long.
Good luck. Shopping for a new pipe is always fun.

I'll keep that in mind. Part of the reason I was looking aesthetically along with functionally is I'm a bit of a self admitted clothes horse.

I like Clothes. I have more shoes than my wife. My half of our walk in closet is filled with suits, button downs and other nice clothes.

What does this have to do with shopping for a pipe? I need it to look good with most of my clothes and jackets.

If you are looking for a good pipe that smokes well and looks good, don't mess around with a lesser pipe.

Get a Dunhill. The line depends on what you want specifically. I have a tanshell because I like the look of the rusticated pipes, but their smooth lines are nice also.

My Dunhill is one of my best smokers.

I'll second the estate pipes on ebay. I like Stanwells, Petersons, Comoy...there are many decent British, US and Danish brands out there. Those are my favorite origins, at any rate. An especially nice find would be a pipe by US pipe maker Mark Tinsky. Brigham from Canada are also great smokers and can often be found pretty inexpensive. There's loads more. Try a few out and you'll find exactly what you're looking for. Have fun!
