Illusione Lancero--What can I say. This is a terrific cigar and should be selling for more than it is. Although not cheap, it is worth every penny. Not many cigars at any price can make that statement.
Gisbert Churchill-- A few flaws but too few to mention. Good flavor and construction, not much complexity but, for me, that's OK. Beautiful Connecticut wrapper.
La Perla Toro-Probably the ultimate "Yard Gar." At about $3.00/cigar, you can smoke these all day and not feel guilty. Nice flavor profile also.
La Jugado Robusto-Bought this one out of curiosity. This was a real surprise. Excellent construction, good flavor profile, lots of smoke and a solid ash. No flaws I can see. Herfing

Thanks, Q. I appreciate the notes and reviews!

Love the Illusione Lance, too. I haven't had the others.

Which La Perla, Q ? I've had a few and have a bunch stockpiled. Have yet to smoke an Illusion, but I know I have at least one. Have some Gisperts in stock but haven't tried one yet. Have yet to pick up a La Jugado.

The first releases from La Jugada -- the Habano and Prieto -- were pretty good. They were probably a few bucks overpriced for what they were ... I know of one shop that did OK with them and one that decided not to carry them. It didn't help any that AFAIK MoyaRuiz Cigars didn't have much in the way of sales reps.

Anyway, IMO the Habano and Prieto (maduro) La Jugada are good value for the prices they sell at around here ($3 each, give or take). I've smoked everything but the Corona in the Prieto and most sizes in the Habano; what I liked best were the Prieto Belicoso and the Toro and Double Corona in either wrapper.
