HEHE, I have ALL day to watch whatever, I sit here and drink and don't really care what's on at night, LMAO. I could honestly go without TV, done it off and on for years. Now, I have this streaming service that allows me to watch just about anything one could dig up!!

Anyone watching Locke & Key on Netflix? Horror/fantasy series about a family that moves into their father's secluded ancestral home after he is murdered. To me, it has that "Stranger Things" feel.

Got this in my list to watch

As I've mentioned before I don't watch TV. I read. A LOT. But, I must admit to two guilty pleasures. I stream Supernatural and I used to watch Project Runway until Heidi Klum left. I just streamed The Witcher. I think they could have done so much more with The Witcher..... but, I must say Henry Cavill is really good in it. He might break the Superman curse as an actor. I still think the previous Superman Brandon Routh got a raw deal. I liked him as Superman but the script was SO bad. I also just watched The Irishman. Was okay... Not Goodfella's or Godfather quality but not bad. I don't think it lived up to the hype.
Tried to watch a few other show's I've heard of like Stranger Things but I only made it through half an episode. I did make it through a season and a half of Single Parent's apparently it's an ABC show and I must admit it's really funny! I believe it's still on TV. But, my books keep calling me back.

I did see previews for a show called EVIL. Anyone watched it? Is it any good? Maybe I'll try that after a season or two is out and it get's good reviews.

Descartes once said "The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries."

Not bad for a French effete prick.

Stranger things is a "You have to start in the beginning" kind of series. The last season was meh in my opinion and I was quite frankly disappointed. I haven't seen any of the others you mentioned.

Descartes is an effete prick though.

Supernatural is in it's 15th and possibly final season. It's a great popcorn munching show that touches on all the old monster legends from every culture. It also deals heavily with the Old and New Testament stories. Demon's, Angels, Satan, God, Death are all characters. It's funny and serious.

I've always been fascinated by all religions and the psychology behind them. The origins, the effects on culture, our entire history. Love the art too. Love it all even though I'm an atheist. Hard to take the Noah's Ark story seriously when we know for a fact it was plagiarized from the story of Utnapishtim in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Then Ken Ham goes and builds that monstrous Ark complete with dinosaurs... anyway I digress.

There is a hilarious book by Christopher Moore called The Gospel According to Biff Christ's childhood pal. In the Bible Jesus is born and then doesn't show up again until he's 30. Biff who was born Levi got his nickname because Biff is the sound you hear when his mom smacks him in the back of his head. It's funny but also pretty deep. He manages to tell a funny story while not being to disrespectful to the believers. It's a good read or audiobook if you don't have time to read. I highly recommend it!

Nice.

Ok, with that in mind look up a series called "Penny Dreadful" It was originally on showtime. Great great show. 3 seasons? Awesome series based on victoriann horror penny dreadfuls. Very well done.

Ah, religion. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition now do they! Eh wot? That is why I loved Mel Brooks and Monty Python so much. As a life long Catholic and career altar boy, I found the "Holy Grail" and later "The Life of Brian" to be hilarious. The churches lend themselves to being sent up quite easily. LOL

Agreed, "Life of Brian" is an absolute riot. With quotes like "IT'S THE HOLY GOURD OF JERUSALEM!!!" "I have a goof fwend in Wome named Biggus Dickus!" And "We're not the Judean People's Front, we're the People's front of Judea!"

“The Platform” on Netflix. An interesting Sci-fi/Horror type of film which critiques human nature. Requires some thoughtful analysis to really appreciate it fully. Not for kids. Some very hardcore stuff in there. The only movie I can think of that was vaguely similar to this would be "Hostel."

Anyone gets tired of paying for cable, hit me up. I'm still a reseller for the streaming app. $20/month for 1 device, 35 for two. Almost 2000 channels, US, UK and Canada shows. Local from all over the Country. PPV, MLB, NHL, EPL, ESPN+ Disney+, etc, etc. And almost 200 XXX channels. Movies and TV on demand and a 3-day TV catch up for quite a few of the regularly watched channels like History, Discover and plenty others. It's legit as well. The guy that owns it pays a discounted price for the total number of users that go through his server. He did have a deal with SlingTV, and it may come back. He couldn't make a deal with HULU. I've since learned that it will. work with some pretty low download speeds. I have a couple in the boonies in MS and they have AT&T U-Verse and barely get 10 Mbps download speeds, and they have had ZERO problems.

Yes, I'm quoting myself, hehe. Third person speaking and all, just trying to help the "baby".

FYI, you will need a Fire Stick, FireTV, and other Android streaming devices. I'm to understand the Nvidia Pro is the BOMB, but it's a bit more pricey and the 4k Fire Stick is fine, even better if you ge the $15 ethernet connection adapter as well and direct connect to your modem or wifi booster. It will NOT work on ROKU, but will on a PS4.

The Last Dance

Just started watching on Thursday but already finished 6 episodes.

While I’ve never been a huge basketball fan, always enjoyed watching Michael Jordan from his North Carolina days. I was also a longtime Lakers fan (...until the Kobe-Shaq debacle...) so never really followed the Bulls either. However, it’s been great to look back (...albeit slightly through MJ’s eyes...) and revisit. Eager to catch up to the most current episode and follow along as the last few get shown.

We've been (basically) binge-watching "Ray Donovan" since we subscribed to Showtime on Amazon. The wife and I absolutely love this show. The acting is AMAZING. The story line is wicked good. And the "Southie" Boston accents are on point! Plenty of action, drama, and comedy.

My wife doesn't care much for "The Office", but I've decided to give it go and see what it's all about. A couple episodes in, a little slow, but I'm thinking it will pick up a bit as the characters develop. Luckily, we have smart TVs in the living room and bedroom, so after she falls asleep, I switch over to "The Office" and some of my other favorite sci-fi shows.

Revisited Les Revenants.

It is without doubt the most spectacular cinematography ever allowed on the small screen. It's breathtaking. The plot is fantastic. The characters develop to the point that you almost feel the emotions they're showing.

The downside is that there are only 2 seasons and that it's left unfinished. Such a travesty to what they built. Still, worth a viewing.
