The Pat McAfee Show

Initially didn’t care for Pat’s style but started watching the “Aaron Rodgers Tuesdays” segment last month and found out that Pat is rather refreshing, especially compared to the talking heads on the main football shows. AJ Hawk comes on to talk to Aaron too and usually smokes a cigar while he’s on.

The Liberator on Netflix. It's a 4 part animated series about Lt. Colonial Sparks, the 157th, and their 500 days in combat during WWII. It's done in that gritty animation style that looks almost live action. Very Band of Brothers feel.

Sneaky Pete on Amazon Prime

Giovanni Ribisi plays the role of Marius, a con man who tries to leave his old life behind by assuming the identity of his cell mate, Pete. While Pete's family doesn't have reason to suspect that he is not their long-lost loved one, they are a colorful group with their own secrets and lies that could make life as dangerous as the world Marius was hoping to escape. Marius must find a way to keep his lies from backfiring as he deals with unexpected situations that come his way. Executive producers include Graham Yost and Bryan Cranston.

Totally made for binge watching. A little cliff hanger at the end of each the episode has made me into a partial (any free time available) couch potato this past week.

LOVED Ratched!

Ryan Murphy of American Horror Story fame dialed up his entourage for a romp through Alfred Hitchock's camera with a story by Stephen King and a director like Stanley Kubrick. Made for enjoyable binging.

watched Little Fires (everywhere) with the wife over a couple of days.
Even the kids turned in tremendous acting performances and the story line constantly showed parallel themes that erased distinctions of race, class, wealth when it came to human conditions and behavior.
I don't expect this to be for everyone, but I really liked it...
but I was already a fan of the two lead actresses.

Watched the 3rd year of Yellowstone and got interested but the previous years are pay only on Peacock now.

Over the weekend Sat and Sun they showed all years free on cable but I missed most since I didn't know about it until late. Need to see year 1&2.

Boardwalk Empire. It's on HBO plus (which I don't have) but you can download all the seasons/episodes if you are familiar with torrents. I'd recommend it. Steve Buscemi plays the lead role.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boardwalk_Empire

Teedub recommended Peaky Blinders to me. I binged watched it up to the most recent season and episode and wanted more. I'd recommend it.

Boardwalk Empire is very similar to Peaky Fu*k!n Blinders. Same time frame (post WWI), similar story line (bootlegging/mob/corrupt public officials) but based in New Jersey rather than in Birmingham, England.

Not really watching anything but, I did watch the movie 1917 the other night. Heard great things about it. I didn't like it. The acting was really good but, the way the characters reacted to the situations on the battlefield made ZERO sense.

I was going to watch the 2nd season of The Madalorian but, all the news sites ruined the finale. I didn't even read the articles. They just plastered pictures of the big reveal on every review. Not sure if I wanna watch it now.

How is Cobra Kai? Saw previews for it and it seemed kind of cheesy but, not the good kind of cheesy.

Really good show imho. The first few episodes are lacking a little in acting and production, but if you hang with it, I think you should enjoy it...

Yes. The Charles & Diana relationship and the Queen vs Margaret Thatcher are the main story lines.

If there were two more ill-suited people to be married (other than Danm & his wife), it was Chuck & Di(e).

Queen and Thatcher would have had a slightly better shot.

The first three seasons, absolutely.it slips the following season, but more than watchable. Like the main character. His partner at the FBI is fun too.

Yellowstone.
Binged season 2 last night.
Not a Costner fan but it kept me up till 1:30 last night.
I play poker with a few ranchers who recommended it.
Those guys get the blame for a lot.
It does make you want to move to Montana & buy lots of hectares
Season 3 will have to wait as sleep will be priority 1 for a minute now.

Okay I've narrowed it down to two show's. Billions or Preacher. Anyone seen either of these shows? Are they worth the time? Can't seem to find anything that makes me go WOW! I need to see that! Legion was the last amazing series I watched on Hulu. Might have to just settle for watching Band of Brothers again or maybe The Pacific. Thoughts?

That settle's it then. I've always been a fan of Damien Lewis and I hear he's amazing in Billions.

Just reminded me that I still haven't watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I know he had a part in that and I've heard nothing but great things about that movie.
