Aqua Donkeys - Roku's original.

Episodes aren't much longer than 6 minutes but it's quick witted and well acted. Kinda like if Spicoli and The Office were having a quickie.

Hopefully season 3 isn’t as SJW as season 2.

Started watching The Newsroom. I've wanted to watch it for years and never seemed to get around to it. I'm up to episode 8 in the first season and I love it.

Did the first season of no activity... not brilliant, but funny... lots of famous people... will Ferrell, Tim meadows, plus some famous guest stars...

got an episode or two into the second season and had to bail from the cringe-inducing performance by Jessica alba... had potential but I just can't do it anymore...

Just finished the two seasons of Killing Fields on Discovery Plus. It was starred the detective who actually worked a few of the cases. The show was based mostly on the Eugenie Boisfontaine murder in 1997 which occurred during the time there were 2 serial killers hunting women in the Baton Rouge.

Basically the detective Rodie Sanchez came out retirement to work one cold case and ended up working a few more. Pretty interesting.

I saw that too...Always thought that the Rodie character was the model for the 1st season of "True Detective" on HBO. I know they used the same police HQ in both.

It's on HBO Max and I have to say. I watched all 3 seasons and I think it's one of the best shows I've watched in years. The writing, the acting, the humor and the serious stuff is all just amazing. Off the top of my head I can't think of another series that I enjoyed this much in over a decade... maybe longer. Jeff Daniels is amazing in it. Well worth the watch.

One of my favorite streaming series' that I've watched this past year. A great binge watching all the way through. As it gets to the last season it wraps up nicely, in my opinion, and ties everything back together full circle without leaving loose ends.

Enjoy

I don't have HBO max. I'll have to look to see if it's gettable on torrents for download.

Adding it to the list...

HQ on True Detectives looks like a purpose built set to me. On the other hand, you see the inside of the actual Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Killing Fields.

The Stand on +Paramount.

FINALLY a Stephen King book that was done right on film. Well, they did a good job on IT as well, but this was like Lord of the Rings good. It followed the book as close as it could. Some is going to get left on the cutting room floor but the overall gist was there for sure. I guess the key is to make sure you have a Skarsgård in the cast.

The Stand is and always will be my favorite fiction book, read it cover to cover multiple times. The mini series made years ago did not even come close to doing the book justice, horribly disappointing. Looking forward to a decent production of The Stand............gonna have to get my 7 day free trial with paramount + dialed up.

Thanks for the heads up John

Yeah, not the best series to watch if you're trying to quit. I especially like the hospital scenes with the Dr's smoking butts in exam rooms

Them were da days.

No problem.

Also really liked the newer Star Trek on their channel too. Seemed to be closer to the original as far as "mission" stuff. Also Yellowstone and Evil are worthy binge shows. We always do the commercial free when available.

I have this series downloaded. Watched a couple episodes but didn't get into it. A few people that share my tastes have highly recommend it.

I don't think I've given it an honest chance and I'll need to revisit it.

Another one is the Preacher. 1st season maybe 6 episodes in. I started to get into it but abandoned it for no other reason than I was sidetracked doing other stuff rather than watching TV. I think I'll have to start it over again.

Abruptly finished Ray Donovan, need another season please!!

Now on season 2 of Bosch based on recomendations here. Very nostalgic for me, the interactions between the detectives are generally spot on...
