I tried and tried to get into it but just found myself bored. Most likely because I am not a fan of shows set in the past (in general).

Watched Godless and enjoyed it, in general, but thought it was only alright.

Dark is next.

Top notch in every regard. The sets, the sounds, the music....not to mention the story and acting. But, then again, I generally like well done period pieces.

Lots of reasons that this could been bad for me; British and Irish accents, music out of period, violent...plot that gets a little contrived and disjointed all at the same time...all things that can easily derail a series for me. But, not so for Peaky Blinders. One of very few series that I will watch more than once.

I can't blame you there, I have a weird sense of what makes a good show or movie. I think the biggest thing is that it is period piece...

Never even seen it...but did HATE Scarface. I will never get those three hours of my life back.

Started Dark last night, pretty good first episode...looking forward to where they take it. Although, the voice over thing was really strange. Many times it looked like the actors were saying the same words, but other times not. Not sure why they added the subtitles since it has the voice over though.

The wife and I have so much to watch over her Christmas break...Defenders, Punisher, Stranger Things Season 2, whatever season they are on of Fuller House (only for the nostalgia of it...not really a good show). I think there are more too.

What I'm NOT watching on Netflix: Firefly

Why tf did they take it off? Very little that I watch more than once...but Firefly was an exception. That very rare show that can be put on at any time ...sort of a comfort food for the other senses. ****kers

I liked Punisher. It was better than I thought it would be.

Right now watching Dark. First episodes are kinda slow, but it's holding my interest a little better now.

Just not a big fan of overdubs, I guess it beats reading subtitles though.

Edit:

Honorable mention (on Hulu), Lucifer. I dig that show, one of the few I actually keep up with.

Just signed back up for this about a month ago...

Longmire
Walking Dead
House of Cards
Bob Ross Painting them happy little trees

Some random movies. I noticed that there seem to be a lot less movies on there this time around. They're definitely moving towards more of their original programming. I miss the old action flicks...

There's some good movies on there dude.

They rotate them out often, but there's usually a good selection movies on there, you just have to hunt them down.

Magic City was alright, not great, but watchable. Decided to start the Crown...just started season 2 and it is pretty good. Nothing amazing, but a solid show.

Going to have to put The Crown on hold though, the new season of Black Mirror came out today! Woot!

Doubtful. It was written as a movie, but was too long so they made it a mini series. Never know though

Just started

The Hatfields and McCoys...

Kevin Costner
Powers Booth ( just died)
Tom Beringer
Bill P? ( just died) weird science, alien

Pretty darn good...
Only three 1 1/2 hour episodes

Also :

"Making A Murderer"...

It's what I imagine "THUNDERGERBILS" FAMILY TO BE LIKE..
;-) BWUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! J/k!!

I.Q.'s of really low amounts....
I ABSOLUTELY love the jailhouse to home recorded conversations...that AVERY 16 yr old is really D.U.P.I.T....

HE IS GOOD POTENTIAL candidate FBI-SSG agent MATERIAL...he is already a murderer and that's what
FBI-SSG AGENTS DO IN THE FIELD..."CARTE BLANCHE" WITH NO REPERCUSSIONS OR REMORSE...

THE KID CHANGES HIS STORY EVER WEEK...
THE DIALECT IS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE MOVIE
"FARGO"...
16 YEAR OLD KID : " AHHHHH MOM...What does inconsistent mean?"
"Do ya' think I can come home and watch wrestle mania this weekend?" ( after he admits to slicing a woman's throat with a knife after raping her, I think his I.Q. is 60)
Only on episode #4...

Happy! Based on a comic book series is very cool. On Syfy. Stars Christopher Meloni. About an ex cop turned hitman who's always drunk and stoned who sees this imaginary helper, Happy. Lot of very dead bodies. But really funny. Rated WTF.

If you like Inglourious Basterds then check out Hateful Eight; it's on there too. Both great movies.

Finished up Season 1 of Narcos last night. I'm enjoying it so far.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee - already seen them all. Great show; waiting on some new episodes.

I'm having trouble finishing up Season 3 of Narcos. This one really fell off after Season 2.

Really enjoyed the new season of Black Mirror.

Watched "The End of the effing World" and enjoyed that too.

Started Episodes, but I think I already watched the first season a while back. There are a few more seasons so I am going to check those out. After that...who knows...

Victoria (Amazon Prime) - about halfway thru S1, but pretty impressed thus far

Fell asleep an hour into Hateful Eight -- going to get back to it, but I wasn't as impressed as Phil and RMAN....will repost after I give it another shot

Mini-Series about Aldrich Ames (Assets) was outstanding - love the spy genre....v glad Homeland is back...and anxiously awaiting Americans final season

Been trying to watch Long Road Home on demand Nat Geo, but episode availability has been erratic - different episodes avail at different times...never did see E4. Too bad, because we really like this one.

I like all of Tarantino's movies. I even like Death Proof which a lot of people hate. Definately not everyone's cup of tea.
