YES...FOR SURE!!!!

Merchandise( shirts, butane, herf-a-dors, etc.) deals, & very good SAMPLER deals,
Bundle deals, Box deals, Bugatti lighter deals....

Almost everything under 50% of the
Mothership...many well below ^^ that...
and a few just at the normal bidding rates
tacked on because of shipping rates ( that I needed
replenished)

I'm sure DPnewell could've done better...but ...
hey I'm happy...

Lolz. Yeah... when they got rid of the good stuff I went on a hiatus as well, but don't anticipate an end time.

The good old days weren't that long ago.

I got in late, but bought enough. But when I'm out, I'm out.

eh............I'm leaning in that direction myself (as I watch another order piling up) d'oh!
Been smoking too much (5-7 per week).....that's twice what I used to smoke.
I need to get back to 2 or 3 per week.

Been a while since I bought anything on CBID or the mothership and little bought elsewhere. I was hoping to reduce my stockpile and restock, but all I have done is empty a smaller overflow cooler and a travel humidor and make a little room everywhere else. Passed on a few good deals in the process. I'll probably be buying a few things, but when I'm full, I'm done until next winter. What I really want is either unavailable or too expensive.

I keep telling myself I'm going to go on a buying hiatus, but how can I turn down
a box of Tatuaje Nicaragua Cojonu 2012 Maduros for $154 ?
That's "prit near" half the price that my local sells them for. d'oh!

I need to get back to 2 or 3 per week.

other than a fiver from a split with Fiddler last June, I stopped buying 11 months ago. The plan was to smoke through or give away all of my collection...I guess a few hundred cigars.

Finally hit zero about 6 weeks ago, bought two to smoke over Christmas weekend, was gifted another, and that's been it. Needed to remove the large inventory as I found I was lighting up many evenings without even really desiring or planning the time. Found I was not getting as much pleasure smoking so often but was in fact doing it to stave off boredom.

I could tell it wasn't like a cig addiction but wanted to reassess my relationship with cigars. Happy to report there is no withdrawal. None in the house has eliminated daydreaming about smoking when bored. At the very least I found I am in control of this "habit".

So my plan is to go get a smoke or 3 here and there, but the days of collecting and aging are probably over.

Not sure what I'll do about Cubans though as my private stock peaked at about 80% cc and it's tough to just get a few at a time that are ready to go...hope this is the biggest issue I face in life.

true.
probably will buy and smoke here and there. wasn't looking to quit, but the reassessment was needed. I'll do it differently now, less obsession, hopefully more appreciation.

ThumpUp

I definitely need a hiatus in bidding and acquisition of cigars in general. I've run out of storage, and don't want to buy any more humidors, tupperdors or coolerdors...this might be harder than losing weight...but it could possibly result in a reassessment...

I've just come off a hiatus, but based on current capacity, may be back on that wagon again. Seems like the supply dwindles very slowly.

I'm now officially on a hiatus (as I tucked away 13 Jericho Hills, 5 MUWAT +11s and 5 Jaime Garcia Petite Robs.) d'oh!

I'm at about 95% capacity..............which makes it easier.
It's just that there's a handful of favorite $4 and $5 cigars, that every now and again, can be had for $3............and so one bids them at $3 at every opportunity.....................................................and then of course one wins them at $3 just often enough to reinforce the behavior........and so it goes.

Best thing I ever did was stay strong with respect to storage.......haven't increased storage capacity in over 3 years..................and never will.

I applaud your strength of will.

I thought I was ready to dial back the buying for a month or two. The only thing I was a little short on was Boveda packs. All of a sudden, there are 12-packs of Boveda on FF. It's almost like they know ...

Storage is definitely a key and my plan is to reduce that storage by getting rid of another 1-3 small humidors, particularly the one that doesn't seal well. That should reduce my capacity by around 120 cigars.

LOL ... I have a bookcase-style Staebell humidor hat holds about 60 boxes. And an overflow coolerdor. And a few desk humidors for singles and five packs.

Naaaaah ... no problem here.

Do you smoke while shooting? I have so much to learn.

I put it down on the bench when I am firing, but yes! Guns and cigars make a great combo.
