Time to start this up again. Always cool to see reviews on cigars folks don't know what they are smoking.
Rules: read all before posting!!!
1. Three unbanded cigars. One top self, one mid range and one yard gar.
2. Remove bands and number the baggies so you can tell the folks what they smoked. No particular order.
3. Write a short review of each after smoking, on this thread and guess what you smoked.
4. After review sender will post what the cigar was.
5. Include a local hot sauce or bbq sauce
6. Keep it going like a PIB (pay it back)
7. Will limit this to few players so it doesn't get out of had. (We can do a summer one later)
Let the game begin.
Players:
1.chazbo
2.danmdveries
3.frozenpheniox!
4.SmokeMonkey
5.delta1
6.TampaTom
7.shaun341
8.bgz
9.dharbolt
10. Stinger88
11. namadio
Let the games begin😎

I'll do it again... I didn't do so well last time, hopefully this time I don't fudge it up.

Just a note, I'm more a hot sauce guy than a bbq sauce guy, so whoever gets me is probably getting hot sauce.

Found a semi-local sauce. Probably one of the best hot sauces I've ever had, but can't always get it.

Out to FP1 in the AM.

Trying chazbos number 1.

A ridiculous fat 60rg cigar.

Initial flavor rather flat, lil bit of pepper followed by wood. Short finish, decently creamy texture. Some faint/fleeting cinnamon / spice showing up. Makes me think it may be an AJF product. Easy draw, decent smoke production.

Made it a lil over an hour, and it's not very good. Didn't really change in flavor other than getting a bit bitter. Wasn't quite halfway, maybe 2", but couldn't go any further. Tossed it.

Guessing yard gar on this.

no fiver needed in return unless there was another person that wanted in but was late to the party then you can just send to them.

Dan, the unbanded #1 was 6x60 Illusione Nosotros. It's been in the bottom of my cooler for about four years. They stopped production of them in 2010. MSRP was around $10
Hopefully the other two work betterHerfing

Gonna start on #2 from chazbo now while mashing my grain for today's brew.

Wrappers slightly dark, Corojo maybe. Fairly even color, with one dark band in the leaf following the seam. Have to cut about 1.5" off the head of this one, was crushed in transit. On the big end of my preference, looks about a Churchill, maybe a bit shorter.

First light, it's familiar. Not sure what, but I'm pretty sure I've had it before. Not much distinct flavor. Tons of smoke, peppery bite on retrohale. Faint bitter vanilla bean and cedar, but that might be a stretch. Pretty flat. Think it's reminding me of a newer production RB Genesis, but it's not dark enough. Flavor is slightly green.

Little over an inch, not much going on. Cedar increased, some sweet flavor on finish. Still some bite on retrohale. Not bad, not my favorite, but can keep on for now. Strength is a bit high, definitely feeling it already.

Halfway, no big changes. Still kinda green. Sweeter than it started, but overall flavor is the same.

At 1 hour, still without any off flavor, overall unchanged.

Calling it here as the heat is coming through. Overall not bad, better than the first. Not my favorite, but it burned nicely. Would be a decent yard gar. Hour twenty and about 2" of the neutered cigar remain. Could easily be a 2hr smoke at full length. Muted cedar and vanilla bean, overall sweet, pretty strong. Gotta be the yard gar this time.

So, what was this one?

I have never had a 60rg cigar I've enjoyed. Always taste like it's missing half the flavor. No doubt would have been better in a smaller rg.

Never heard of it. Wasn't bad, but not my thing, too strong.

Putting another butt on the smoker, probably fire up no 3 this evening

Well, I'm a slacker. Dan is almost done, and I haven't even sent mine... well, just now sent mine:

9505511064956079493354

The hot sauce is coming separately (direct ship from Amazon).

It's the same sauces I was going to send (along with one additional one), but I couldn't find a box big enough around my house. Cleaned out our cardboard after the holidays and tend to throw away boxes.

Starting in on chazbos number 3. Another toro, this time without the neutering. Note: I've been drinking since 8am, might be long winded.

Medium-dark wrapper, uneven color, poorly capped. Cold draw gives me nothing, just dry tobacco leaf.

First light: bitter cocoa, tree bark. Excessive cap glue I suspect, my lips stick to the head... yup, wiped my mouth on my flannel sleeve and got lint stuck to my lips.

Pretty quickly making its strength known with a lump in my throat despite a very full stomach. Flavor is unremarkable, still a bit of bitter cocoa and tree bark. Very heavy tannin-like flavor, dry. Finish is bitter, dry, but long. Not bad. Several times stronger than I like, but it's decent.

Boutta inch in now, flavors the same, still full power. Finish is longer, less dry. Still a bit of tannin, cocoa, bitter wood. Not terribly unlike number 2, but suspect this has more age, no green flavor.

Halfway, unchanged. Full power. A bit more bitter initially, though the finish is sweeter. Same overall profile. Cocoa and wood.

Smoking to the end, it's finishing overall sweet with a cocoa and wood flavor, still full /full, and less dry finish. If I liked full power cigars, I'd like this one more. Got it down to an inch after an hour 30.

So, what was it? Can't venture a guess, don't think I've had this or similar before. At least not that I've smoked this long.
