100,000 signatures needed by June 10th for this petition to be valid and reach the WH - our passion for cigars is in jeopardy in the near future.

This should be at the top of all the posts, there are only an UNBELIEVABLE less than 6,000 signatures on this to date.
Paste and participate BOTL and SOTL!

Sign what? A whiny paragraph with no facts and requests further bureaucratic review to what end? And the expected result of this 'petition'? A "response from the White House"???

Not saying that nothing can/should be done. Just that letters to your congressmen and administration might be more effective. Oh, and if you're a CRA member, perhaps a letter to them asking what they did with your money.

Letters sent to my congressmen. I had sent letters about a year ago when the rules were first proposed.

I wrote letters as well and did the CRA thing,. A signature to do something is at least an effort. If it accomplishes nothing, there was at least the intention. Doing nothing is sidelining. IMHO making the effort and failing is not the same as failing because you didn't try..

I tend to agree that it was not the best worded petition and unlikely to accomplish anything, but I signed anyway. Also sending letters to my representatives.

Sad day in America.

If I knew how to do that on a smart phone I would,
I don't have a computer.

Just copy the link and paste it in your browser window, go to the site, fill out the petition and submit it then you'll get an email sent to you to confim the email address you gave. Once it comes you verify by clicking the button on the email and signature goes on the petition.

Seriously CBidders ?! Nothing since the 18th?

Even if you feel like it's not going to make a difference, at least make an effort, it's not going to hurt you to take a few minutes. If there's any chance this could do anything, why not just do it??

Only 18,647 signatures to date.

Cigar smokers across the country march lockstep into having their favorite cigars taken away from them forever. Pitiful.

government by the government for the government of the government. freedoms in our country are waning because of a fascist leadership. the sheep are being ruled by wolves.now is the time for a REVOLUTION to return to a meritocracy. the government outgrew the private sector and this is the first administration to have 7 yrs of GDP under 2% per yr. does anyone sense a state of panic from any cigar retailer? yeah me either, the manufacturers and the consumers will be hurt.let's see what happens i don't think this is as over as the press trumpets.

THIS!! ^

Unbelievable that people haven't stepped up, and I don't just mean this petition.
Every cigar smoker across this country that just took the apathy or someone else will do it position needs a swift kick in the crotch when they act surprised after all the cigars they claim to love and enjoy start disappearing. Kiss boutique, small batch, and short runs goodbye as the Frakking Death of America kills what their money grabbing azzes are yet again where they don't belong.
I hope they all get a big fat oozing carbuncle right in their taint.

Sadly, I am convinced the average cigar smoker - even "premium" cigar smoker - has no idea what is about to happen. I have talked to several and they had no clue about the FDA decision or what it means. Even been to a couple cogar stores where the salespeople were unaware.

Some of those I have talked to were vaguely aware of some sort of thing they saw in the news about this but had no idea what it really means.

Honestly I hadn't heard about this until I saw Cigar Obsession video on YouTube. He has links to the petition and letters to your Reps. All you gotta do is put in zip code and sign. Signed and sent both.

Here's the letters to Reps link. http://capwiz.com/cigarrights/issues/alert/?alertid=62606471
Just put in your zipcode and it pulls up your Senators and Congressmen. Takes just a second and you can do it on your phone. Nothing changes unless we make it happen.

Well done, and done!

Here's another opportunity to make ourselves heard.
Paste the link in above, it pulled my Senator and State Representatives, took about a minute.
Don't just stand by, doing nothing because someone else will take care of it is a mode of thinking and accepting whatever gets shoved down our throats that has to change.

I posted a separate thread for the CRA link for the letters CptVimes so excellently supplied, thought it deserved some attention.....not one single taker.
